NCsoft, makers of the game, are aware of the virtual genocide and have begun blocking Chinese IP addresses on Korean servers. NCsoft has sided with Koreans because the company is against item trading, which NCsoft apparently considers an exclusively Chinese practice.
I long for the day when the honourable citizens of Aden don their flaming torches and pitchforks in an attempt to eradicate all the cheating scum from the land of Aden.
Unfortunately as everyone knows all to well, there are plenty of people who do anything to win, whether it means purchasing currency or accounts, using 3rd party software for an advantage, abusing game mechanics or all of the above.
Will players ever stand up to this behaviour en masse? Who can tell. Perhaps it's best to keep the torches unlit and the pitchforks hidden until that time comes.

Keep in mind, what the chinese are doing tot he koreans is far worse then what they are doing here. Because they are stealing identities to be able to do it, which is a horribly despicable crime. They would do anything to make a dollar.

The recent killings are a response to rumors that Chinese gamers have not been following the unspoken rule: don't take money or items dropped by a monster slain by another player.

Korean players out number us by at least 15 to 1. They also pay 30 USD a month to play. they get what they want, we get treated like what we are. A niche market to rake in extra dough on a product.
The thing is, L2 is succesfull in the US, they have respectable numbers and our subscritions alone pay for the game and make them a profit. They could get even more players if they just give the Weastern players a few inches.

Yep it's really bad people often lose their houses and stuff due to identity theft, I know it costs my country $4bil a year in damages I read it in the newspaper.
