I'm still amazed by all the attention to detail that NCsoft puts into the many aspects of the game. Even with something like Dualswords. The tsurugi(tsu)*tsurugi(tsu) b grade dualswords use the focus SA and have a crit increase of 54. The tsurugi(tsu)*samurai longsword (sls) inherits the tsu crit SA, but because it's only one tsu the crit increase is lower. I've also noticed that the tsu hits for less than the sls ALL the time. This becomes more apparent as you apply all the various crit multipliers from buffs-
First attack is always the tsurugi.
tsu/sls [damage difference, followed by approximate percent)
226/262 [+36dmg ~ 15%]
256/270 [+14dmg ~ 5%]
1235/1332 [+97dmg ~ 7%]
1551/1744 [+193dmg ~ 12%] (So rare that I get to oneshot a mob like that)
Now...note the patk difference between a tsurgi (139) and the patk of a samurai longsword (156) and that is... 12%. I know this sounds REALLY trivial but I'm just impressed that they really followed through on little things like this, whereas they could've just made both blades identical and most people wouldn't have noticed.
Its nothing new lol. It wouldnt have made sense if you had different swords hitting for the same damage. If they wanna impress me then give dual swords when viewing as an item in a private store a new skin, so its clear to see a difference.
Tsu*Tsu, whilst having a slightly lower PAtk actually has a higher critical chance rate than Tsu*SLS. I haven't used both sets of duals side by side to see what the damage output is like over time so can't really comment on which is better. For looks though, I definately prefer the Tsu*Tsu duals.
Those are accurate for this chronicle as well, and the description is very unlikely to be wrong. It's not just those two weapons, dual-sword SA's in general get slightly weaker as the base weapons get stronger.
I prefer the tsu*sls over all of them so far. When fully buffed the crit multipliers on the sls become more apparent. The difference between 52/54 on crit rate adjustment to me dont make enough of a difference.
So, I prefer the tsu*sls over all three of them. I had a sls*sls for a while [that I blew trying for +11], but the +4% attack speed wasnt that big a deal if you're wearing tallum anyway. The added crit rate is, imo, a nice perk so blowing the sls*sls was the best thing that could happen....kind of.
Here's a current screenshot from C4 with the tsu*sls info...the patk/matk is not clean since mine are +12.
heres some thing intresting take off your wep and punch a mob now if you dnt have a sheild on your fists are like dual weps you swing twice :) with sheild its only once
NM*StormBringer are better then tsu*sls or tsu*tsu. I believe the NM*SB gives like 70+ crit rate and the p atk is around 30 less, but you can afford to risk OE'ing it to a higher degree. But otherwise, ive tried both and find tsu*tsu gives no real significant increase in crit rate where as the sls*tsu gives a strong crit when the sls lands, and a generaly higher DPS.
