Now, admittedly, I am very new to the manor system, so it getting *nothing* for your seeds typical? I know it's not always consistent, but it struck me as odd to not get something for the fruits of my labor.
the manors do this sometimes. A couple of weeks ago our manor just reset itself for lord only knows what reason. most owners are pretty good about fixing it once somebody mentions the problem.

Thank you very much for responding so quickly. Hopefully the owners will correct this quickly then.

Pm AwesomE. He's the horrible, horrible man who has been taking your money.
PS - he is also the head of a vicious Mongolian cult
The enria, which is rewarded there fro crops has npc price of 9k (if not more) if your's total reward for crops is less then that you aint no getting noting :p

No, no. You missed my point. I literally got *nothing*. Not Enria, not Iron Ore, not Thread, not *anything*. I turned in my red cobol fruit things, and paid the due or whatever, and received nothing. ****** that I wasted all my fruits, I bought less the next day and turned one in: still got nothing.
I haven't tried yet today, but I will tonight. And thanks Plague, if it hasn't been fixed, I may PM that guy. Mongolian or not. *eyeroll, smirk*
Crazy forum posters. ;) Thanks for the help once more guys.

But she did answered your point.
What she said is that the total of crop you are selling, isn't worth as much as just 1 reward for that type of crop.
Let's say that you need to give 500 crops to get 1 enria (imaginary numbers here), if you only sell 499 crops you won't receive anything because you haven't paid enough to get 1 reward.

Esmera got it right. I once did the same thing in that very manor. :o I didn't have any experience with Enria and I thought it was something like Animal Bones or Varnish, but it's not. It's a very expensive materials and it takes a TON of fruits to get even one. Nothing wrong with the Manor system, you just need to gather more fruits.
If you look at the list I linked you to, check out Enria. It says 12000 adena. That's the price a npc would sell it at in a shop.
So, lets say Giran is paying 100 per fruit, it would take 120 fruit to get one Enria. I'm not sure what they're buying at in Giran right now, that's just an example.
Anyway, looking up what things are worth on that site tells you what the manor system thinks the reward is worth. Then divide that by the value of the fruit they're buying and you've got EXACTLY how much fruit you need to turn in per reward item.
In this case: 12000 (value of Enria when a shop sells it) / 100 (value of each fruit) = 120
So... 120 fruits = 1 Enria (in this example)
Usually it's not all that big a deal, since the materials they award aren't usually that much more valuable than the fruit (at least at low levels). But, still, it's worth looking up, since if you know exactly what they will award you per fruit you can make sure not to waste any fruit. For example, in the above example, it would take 120 fruits to earn 1 Enria. Turning in 121 to 239 (in this example) is a total waste, since that will also only get you 1 Enria. The next 'magic number' of fruits to turn in would be 240, then 360, etc.
The hardest part then becomes having time to type in the number of crops you want to trade exactly instead of just hitting "All" and still somehow managing to beat the 10k bots that are standing around the manor managers world wide spamming for the same thing :D

Hehe, true, good point Tsadkiel.
That's why it's good to check out and work different manors. Some manors are ultra-popular and hard to turn in rewards to. Some, for some reason, are less popular (even ones with good rewards).
Okay...I'm at a quandrant. I personally just started doing the manor system, as money is going to be very important in a couple of levels for D Grade equipment. How do I profit off of the seeds that I've been able to gathered from the beasties?
Okay...I'm at a quandrant. I personally just started doing the manor system, as money is going to be very important in a couple of levels for D Grade equipment. How do I profit off of the seeds that I've been able to gathered from the beasties?
Basically, you have to do a little research ahead of time...
First, how much do the seeds cost? What rewards to do they get you? How much reward do you get for how much fruit? How many fruit does each seed get you on average (1, 2, 3 or 4)? How much does the reward sell for usually in the Giran marketplace? How much money do you spend per mob seeding (on SS and pots)? Figure that all out and you'll know how much you will make.
It may sound incredibly brainiacish (<-- is that even a word?) but if you take a few minutes and work it all out you can predict almost EXACTLY what you will make in profit from the manor system.
As you get more familiar with it it becomes a sort of unconscious thing.
A good tip is to take a notebook and write down:
* Date you bought your seeds and for how much, where you bought them, what the rewards for their fruit is, what the buyback price is for the fruit
* What monsters give you the most fruit per seed that you can easilly grind through (just experiment!)
* What are the going prices in the market of Giran (or wherever) for the rewards
Another key is patience. If your reward is coal and its currently only being bought for, say, 200 adena -- DON'T SELL! Wait for the price to rise in the private stores to 350 or 400. Prices fluctuate. Sell when prices are high!
Erm...and don't seed for coal =P Stick with base mats like iron ore, varnish, and charcoal. NPC prices are about the same, but the margin for profit is higher.
eh...not so much. Just gather about 1k seeds a pop, stick with seeds that give you base mats, and you can always stay profitable by finding the manor that's paying the most...with C4 they are displayed when you turn in the seeds...so its easy.
You'll mazimize your profit by taking the time to investigate whether the margin on Enria (as an example) is better than the margin in Iron Ore...but let's face it...if you're crafting D grade you don't need anything except base mats, and you'll find you can craft most of your gear with those seeded base mats for next to nothing.
If you're concerned about affording D grade I can assume this is a first char...so just stay on green - light blue mobs, don't spam shot unless you're fighting more than one mob at a time, and you'll do just fine.
*blinks* Woah, this board exploded. *laughs* But I get it now. I need 'x' amount of fruit before I can turn in for the mat. Okay, that makes *total* sense.
I'll be sure to check out that site provided, and take notes as someone else suggested. Thank you!
ETA- So, how DO you know what the rewards are? So one knows how many to turn in?
Go to manor status, when you priss any seed they tell the pocible rewards, and for each castle what reward they give at the time. Also, when you sell the seeds it shows what exacly and for how much it rewards. And how many crops can be turned in.

Greetings from the Mongolian Empire.
All crops and seeds for Giran Manor are active.
As the red cobols are set for Enria, u should be to get al least the right reward.
saw 16 mature crops only in the cwh tho so i am not sure if u are that notorious a farmer ?
i suggest u pm the gms if u go nothing. ( dont turn in 1 at a time)
