Past time for in game live GMs

This game is in dire need of in game Gms. Not asking for many per server manybe just 1 or 2 to have a special character with a name like =Gmibanbots=. There is no reason in hell why there shouldn't have been. Many other games do this and even their pirate versions why not here? It is not like paying a few more to help the community would be a bad thing.
We have ingame GM's, they just aren't visable to the common folk.
Pretty much what he said. One that that bothers me is why they aren't listed anymore. They are obviously there... but they don't show up on the gm list.
I think thats for a purpose... If we don't see them listed, they cann't see them listed.
Their there. I have a friend that plays a dwarf that said out of no where a GM walks up and sits down next to him and starts asking him questions. Im guessing that someone reported him as a bot cause he was farming one spot for quite some time for mats. He said that they chatted for a while then the gm just dissapeared.
I am aware of invisable modes most games have for their Gm staff. But in your right mind and all fanboi crap aside, you honest believe there are full-time Gms in game most of the time or at least part-time. If you can answer yes, i will drop the conversation and move along. I believe they do not or at least anymore.

If this game plans to provide service to me and to many of the people in the alliance I belong to there will need to be immediate changes in the way the EULA is upheld. This is not a threat but just a general observation listening into teamspeak on a nightly basis. It seems myself and many others can not move past the huge gap between honest and dishonest players in numbers. This gap only seems to be getting bigger for the dishonest and harder for the honest.

Dishonest players can be view all day everyday from the MDT to the starting towns in elmore. Ebayers and account buyers to bots and exploiters this game needs to change to keep good people around. Most of the time you do not even have to look for it. Fact is we need Gm to police the servers. Maybe not to prevent player vs player conflicts but to be active in the fight to keep their game and ours clean.

P.S I once back in prelude during the first week of release i was approached by a character. This character had Gm in the name. He/She said hi buffed me with some minor buffs and started to run away. The odd part was i was watching my back due to aggro's and never saw this character come up, just seemed to appear.
Your friend probably experienced a bot trainer or killer. Never have i heard of Gm's as of recent approaching players. Hell are we even in the same game? You expect anyone to believe that a Gm did not give and automated response in a bot case issue? At best twice i have had a live GM since startingthis game. One was because he wanted to thank me in reporting a "stuck player" and helping them out. In reality the report was a bot that i got stuck between rocks with adena trails that sat and hopped around them for nearly an hour. Reason behind getting it stuck was to help prove it was a bot quicker. Back-fire.
Well, it is the same as in Real Life. If you run the risk of being target of any crime, you would want to have two policemen follow you all around. Yes, it would be nice to have that. But noone can pay it.
There are however policemen on duty all around the clock, but you do not see them. Either cause they are not in your street at the time you look or cause they work undercover and you just do not recognize them as policemen.

Yes i do.

You have your normal GM walk throughts once a day in the game, but most the time they are like in a waiting room. Where they sit till they get a call "Petition" once they take care of it they go back into the waiting room.

Those rooms must be a lot of fun because it is a bit hard to pull them out of it. You usualy need to hear 3-4 automatics responses until they generously respond. I once even used ALL MY PETITIONS and saw no human response. Just an automatics response everytime.
/Shakes head....

Their are no automatic responses, every reply you get from the GM's in a petition is hand typed.
I could really care less whether there are GM's showing on the list, as long as my petitions get answered within a reasonable time.

I suspect that what the OP really means is that it's time to get a few GM's walking around in the game enforcing the EULA. This I agree with 100%.
GM got kind of snotty with me for asking a simple question through petition last night. I was trying to do class change quest where you need to kill Nahir in Elven ruins to get an item. I killed the boss like 30x over an hour period and still had not got the item. I just asked the gm if the quest is bugged through the petion window that says Quest related and he replied back that PETITIONS ARE FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY, the quest is working fine and I should go check a fan site. I'm like for [censored] sakes, I am on a fan site doing the quest walkthrough and they didn't post anything saying I would have to kill it this many times to get the item. I can count on 1 hand how many times I have requested help from a gm in this game and didn't appreciate the response I got. Only thing a gm has helped me so far when I asked is for being stuck on terrain somewhere. GFG
you know... i herd GM's in Korea are different and much better.. they actually play the game and are visible...
RF Online you could pm a GM for anything.. i use to PM a GM called thessalon for example just to BS with with him.. and he didnt seem to care... they also sometimes spawned and had some fun with you.... i really wish GM's in lineage 2 would interact with their community like that.
I wouldn't mind if a GM showed up and chatted with us once in a while. I think it would be sweet. It has never happened though :(

Even being a dwarf I think i would try to pvp him/her ^^
actually now that i remember.. in RF a GM spawned once just for the heck of it i guess so we started killing him... he was like "if you hit me one more time im going to one shot you all" haha of course i hit him again! but he didnt kill me :( instead he took his rampage out on mobs lol
when our ally was killing antharas we had a gm spawn there. He last about 30 seconds before one of the archers took him down. That was last October. Before that would have been when I was lvl 40 (mid C2) and we had to hunt in areas like GC since our alliance was locked out of TOI at the time. During one prty we had a certain GM spawn and start talking to us. Do they exist yes. Are they ninja Pirate Wizards, Yes can they be killed? yes. So you see Gm's are just carebears and don;t show themselves less we take it upon ourselves to met out cosmic justice
I didn't see the GM at that raid, the only one I actually remember was in a siege when I was around 30, one showed up for a few seconds then ran away super fast. Gm speed FTW.
I have only seen a GM on a character twice ingame. Once to yell at us when I was lvl 11 back in prelude when we were getting Dark Horrors to stick on the statue in middle of swamp so we could kill them without getting hit and 2nd time was when we were the first to kill antharas and he was brandishing his **** +16 SoM.

Splatter, really get open your eyes. I do not care how diehard you are about this game and your ability to defend it. Lets stick to facts here and unless you are an employee of NcSoft you can not tell how they do their jobs. Nor can you try to pass off the "no automated responses" to anyone, your only fooling yourself.
I find it hard to believe every GM response is hand typed, when I receive the same exact worded response with no GM name on it any time I report a bot. Unless it's 'hand' copied and pasted...

Not saying I blame them, there's only so many ways to reply to the same issue. I just highly doubt they type all that every time.
I don't know, i disagree....

I look at it this way say you want to report a player. And you do...

In that case the GM responses with the company line as i call it, every company has a company line even the one i work for. I still don't know what the big deal is.
I think the big deal is when you cannot add to the petition because they are immediately closed. I submitted something once, can't remember exactly what I said but it came back that GM's are only for in game EMERGENCIES. I felt that was a little out of line, because reporting a bad user (bots, cursing, spamming, glitches, possible quest problem) is not an EMERGENCY, now is it?
You got me confused.

Just what are we talking about here? Automatic GM replys, The short comings of the petition system, or GM's not replying in a proper manner

I would agree especially since it is one of the categories available for petitions. I hate not being able to follow up as well. I've already spoken with Spam about this but I went red on some players who didn't seem to mind. However, while I was red, they would "disappear" even in the middle of combat. So I petitioned and said that I was trying to PK but the players kept forcelogging. The reply came back that they couldn't do anything because I didn't provide names and closed the petition. I would have responded well, "here's about 20 names for you" but didn't get the chance.
All of the above?

1) A gm name would be nice. Sure you get a petition number but it's not exactly friendly to say, hi I'm complaining about petition 395382539 instead of, I was talking to GMSoinSo today.

2) Auto replies. I can see it on a bot petition, no problem. I can't see it on an actual problem, even if they can't help you. Esp that "emergency" nonsense.

3) The auto close, I don't think it's fair to reply to something then close it so the user can't say anything in return. You are limited on the first petition and can't always clarify what could be a complicated issue.

Especially when they completely screw up the intent of the petition in the first place...
I have sent Spam a PM about the idea of linking all ingame petitions with the support website. I even know it can be done as one of my petitons about a bot report ended up there.

He thought it was a good idea.

That way even if your ingame petition was closed, you still have a chance to reopen it again just like in the support section.
allright Splatter, are you yourself a GM or close to them / a non public rep, supervisor or something. You sure have some weight in that office, i would just like to know which.

ooc: 'i am a mystic, and as such i have my own reasons'. :)
GM dominic appeared infront of me as an orc fighter in roa when i told him he was the best GM, he was the best GM
