Paralisis

Besides Necromongers and Raidbosses, who(PC) else can paralize?
Necromongers? You've been watching the Chronicles of Riddick, hmmm? ^^

I know that SKs also get Lightning Strike, a paralysis skill...Although I am unsure, do SHs get anchor/paralyze as well, or just silence?
Sh's don't but I think bishops do.
Bishops get hold undead. They can cure paralysis though. Come to think of it, it might be useful for paralyzing a necro's summons, but ... nah, we still lose.

Indeed. I love that movie, and especially the word Necromonger!!! :p

Hmm, so basically, Dark Crystal Light was made especially against Necromongers? Even if rephrasing it, and saying: Mostly for Necromongers, that's still pretty darn good, don'cha think? :p

I have a Spell Howler alt, SH's only get Silence.
gasp! you forgot one!

Warlocks can para too w/ their uber cubic.

slap, slap, slap, para.

5 dmg done to cast para on a non flagged person, hooray!
Hold under DOES work on necro pets.
I'd like to menion, that SKs and Warlocks can actually use a better paralyze than Necromancers.

Necros need a flagged target (or mob). SKs can use Lightning Strike on a distance on whites, which got no chance to kill the player due to CPs.
Warlocks need their para cubic out and just hit on the player with bare fists, also running absolutely no risk of going red.

Yay, that is something, that other classes can do better than Necros !

Necromantic Kitten
And how often the Paralyze from weapon SA lands?
Almost never to never. Trust me, I've tested it. It almost never lands on a player 20 levels below you with no jewelry. A same level player with gear, forget it.
Lightning Strike from Shillen Knights.

Um... some awesome cubic from Warlocks.

Those are the only ones that gives the Para status afaik.

Dance of Medusa gives you petrification, which is diffrent from para as it turns you blue, makes you invincible to damage and debuffs, and if left for 15 seconds or more... even if you are being attacked you are taken out of combat... meaning you can log out during combat.
I completely forgot Warlocks! *curses*

Yes the para cubic = god, it is "the" bot killing cubic. Just para one of the healers, and then get a friend to heal their mobs, or just do some basic mob trains, and you've got urself a few dead bots.
but how many high lvl warlocks exist ^^

Ellie, did you ever test the a-grade para SA, or only the homunculus one? When you tried it, did you ever use it with a lvl 40 on fellow lvl 40s, or were you and your targets in their 60s? I tried it in my 50s, and I never paralyzed anything but a lvl 20 dwarf with no jewelry.
SK, Necro, and Warlock cubic.
although u said PC you went on to say that DC was mainly anti-pc para... well the thing is there are a lot of mobs that do para besides raidbosses. I know they do it in devils island/dvc pre-pit/toi Not sure what does it in the new areas but I'd imagine quite a few places... I haven't come across it in a cata but I don't lvl there... I prefer the old dungeons.
sannen dolls in DI the death waves ( floating ball things ) in DVC also in DVC some thing the the bloody grp paras TOI the hildaties inspectors one of the seleinos i nthe seileneos grps in seilenos baracks i know theres a bunch more but im just drawing a blank
I tested it with the A grade elemental sword that gets it, I was level 60ish and tried it against a level 40, it para'd maybe 1 time in 20. Against a same level player, never. At least, not in over 50 tries.

Now on mobs it worked better, but I think people wanted to use it more for PVP, which doesn't land enough to make it worthwhile.
