I dont know if this a "player's question" or a bug, but here it is...
When i transfer some items on the "item" section of my Baby Pet interface, it only stays there until i dismiss the Pet, then if i call my Pet again, the item has gone back to my inventory instead of staying in the "item" section of the Pet !
This is really annoying for the food, for exemple, i have to re-give food to my Baby Pet each and every time i summon it !
Is there something to do about it ?
yeah if you unsummon the pet all the items it has go back to you. The only exception is pet weapons. If your pet has pet weapons equipped it will when you summon it again.
Oh ok... This is not a great idea i think, but anyway...
Two last questions about Baby Pets : is there a way for the Pet to stay by your side without being attacked by the creatures you're fighting, and how can you rez a Baby Pet ?
Last time i tried fighting with him by my side, my poor Baby Cougar took just one hit and died
So i tried to use the Blessed Scroll of Rez i bought from the Priest of Dawn, but i couldnt target my Pet while he was dead ! Hopefully some nice dude who was in the area rezd him, but if i'm alone next time, how do i use the scroll ?
So, from now on, i make my Baby Pet stay in an area while i fight in another, but maybe there's a way for him to stay with me without being hit ?
actually, for any dead person or pet you can hold down the shift key and then click on them
and I have done a lot of pet leveling, and it seems that mobs go out of their way to kill the pet. They seem to crave sweet sweet pet blood. I have tried leaving the babies out of the way, and then clicking the stay button, but they run up to heal you either way. So they usually end up dead.
I think they need to fix the babies so that if you tell them to stay, they stay.
Well, in the Catacombs at least, if you tell your pet to stay in the corridor while you're fighting in a room, it works pretty well, the Baby Pet indeed comes closer to heal you, but as long as he stays in the corridor the mobs wont attack him !
One way I've found to keep the baby pets from getting aggro'd is to have them follow the healer or nuker (anyone not at the front lines). To do this, a simply target the healer/nuker and then hit the pet attack button. This technique seems to work great unless I need to cross water. Then it works sometimes but others the baby pet will get confused at the waters edge. Before crossing just select your name and hit pet attack again.
