I would have to say that the most useless skill in the game is Unlock. There are really only a few doors that need unlocked. At higher lvls it costs more to buy the keys to unlock chests than you get, and you can just use the dropped keys anyway. It is not needed.
That thread is so wrong though. The guy is so convinced that Charm acts like veil when there are TWO obvious reasons why it doesn't aside from my own experience.
Veil, this is a skill that has NO power rating because its a land or not skill, it will also say if it failed when it fails. Charm HAS a power rating AND it NEVER says you failed because it CANNOT fail because it works like Aggression/Hate only the opposite. Thinking it will work as a kind of Veil will only get you killed and make you look stupid.

using it in PvE is a sure way to get you killed, because you need to get the mobs to stay in 1 place while you kill 1 before you can do the AOE... even half HP mobs take 2 AOE nukes to die. so you need to tank the train long enough for 4 nukes

Unless you are *wanting* to be in the area you drew agression. ;) Or run all the way back from town. :confused: I've never used Word of Fear on my prophet...but if it lands I could see it being useful...once...maybe? Nah, I'd Return, too. :p I think EE's Serenade of Eva would also fall in here somewhere.

corpse burst isn't useless in AoE parties. Just nuke a mob and Burst. And considering the last time you used Charm was in C2...
I love fear when hunting in small rooms or enclosed areas, the mob will run into the wall like a spack and give you like 20 seconds of free beating on it.
Repose and requiem are not useless skillz, every time i get into a jam the mobs just stop and walk away. Its more like fake death and silent move for bishops. Its a lotta fun and very helpful when ur in peril.
Dance of Protection- resistance to terrain damage is not protection from fall damage. It only has a purpose for raid bosses as far as I know. I think sprklndiva knows what it does tok, ask him/her. My guess, and this is PURE speculation, that it may be needed for fighting Valakas as I think you stand on lava but thats a PURE guess, nothing more. I think this is another skill description lost in translation.
I think it can be used for the ground surrounding Core as well. Though a. there isn't much reason for somebody 66+ to be fighting core, and b. other than valkalas, core, and blazing swamp (where other dances are probably more worthwhile anyway) its petty useless.

also daggers can swim w/ kiss of eva for long, long, long.. you can do a trip to TI swimming, fun?!
Same, completely useless. I have used it against white and green undead and if it fails on one mob, and you wack it or move they all aggro again anyway.

10 stars for you my good man !!! Having to go thru 3 chronicles before we even have the 3rd to add on to us from a Summoner. Hehe I went runing around Giran with 3 cubics a little while ago ..... my clan tag read " TK BICH" but it was short lived.

And if they planned ahead and gave you the skill because of that? 12 chronicles and we're rolling in the 4th now so we got still plenty of content coming. Perhaps you will have 10 cubics to choose from at some point and then it makes perfect sense you got the masteries early on.

10 cubics ? Lemme put on my guard stance >.< that's an outlandish number..... I'm an optamist but do you really think NC Soft will ever throw a bone to a dying/dead class. It's all about the numbers and the numbers say that Temple Knight is not a popular class. We didn't even get a dime in C4 eventhough we are a Summoner Tank Class..
kiss of eva rocks i use it o do the swim from lanik lizardman dwelling to Ti and also use it when I do the ear quest and you have to swim from giran harbor to devil isle
as for my post on word of fear I realized it would probably be a good skill to use to train botters, I have to try it on summons though
Word of Fear also makes for excellent emergency crowd control. :) I find it is underrated. Nothing like half the mobs suddenly ******* the next wall when you were in a dire spot.
I nominate the storm cubic. ¬_¬; I still have that much hatred left for it. ^_^
Omg, I have been looking for that freekin Word Of Fear spellbook forever in every town. No one ever sells it. I recently came to the conclusion no one has that skill, but I really want it. It's so much better than Peace. and I could really use it in those messy situations.

Shammy up to the closest bounty hunter. Tell them you would like to OOP-Buff them where Plated Leather Gaiter (or top? I don't recall) materials spoil. :) Then inform them on the way down that some books also drop there - and if you get a copy of word of fear, you'd like to keep it...
It drops in the ring with the giants, undine things and floating evil four-pointed things in Garden of Eva. :)
