A stupid question but in some MMO games I have played you couldn't name you character after anyone esle. in City of heros you could not have a Name such as the Flash or superman. Is it the same here?

You cannot have a name that someone else already has, other than that I havent noticed any restrictions so far. Think it applies to NPC names too.

You cannot give yourself mob names. I guess you will get in trouble, if you try to use NCsofts names, e.g. Tisirin, Mistryl, Rust (even without GM or NC in the name).
However you may name your char Superman, Catwoman, Batman, TheHulk or whatever you want. I would guess, that not NCsoft but you are the one, who might be breaking copyrights or trademarks with that.
