Hello everyone :).. sometime ago I remember seeing a wolf guide that was very good,I did some searching here and on the kiryana site but could not find that specific guide. Does anyone know where I can find that ? Thxs and have a wonderful day
I used a prophet to level mine. Wolves really really like Bless the Body, haste, and Zerk. Your cleric will want light armor to do this and eventually get heavy armor at lvl 40.
Spam curse weakness, its reuse timer is instant and always lands if loaded with a bsps, it causes the mob to agro you, so long as you spam it, you wont lose agression. It worked for me anyways.
1) Use Curse: Weakness (it's long range, casts fast, and costs only 3MP)
2) attack before your pet does
3) never stop attacking until the mob is dead
4) if there are multiple mobs, use sleep and root wisely
Having a lvl 45 wolf, which I leveled using a prophet only, the best bet is to have lot's of blessed pet rez's. I lost track of how many times my wolf died, but he does lvl a lot faster than the character and in C4 with beast ss it can be a great companion and dd for you. I use hvy armor so I tank. I never ever need a party and lvl fine with just the wolf. I would however love to see a wolf get a skill as the hatchlings have. I have wished for this since the beginning of time :D and it has not happened yet. But wolves are still great companions. Not to mention he owns all melee in their high 20's low 30's when fully buffed :). GO WOLVES!
The wolf will die regardless of aggro most of the time unless you go in god forsaken places where mobs are 1 mile away from each other and you always go for one monster at a time. However I do agree with using weakness curse to keep aggro on yourself. I did that a lot. I also used sleep a lot and root. And the best way to keep your wolf alive is to have heal pots in his inventory, and a few of greater heal when times get desperate and you don't want the wolf to die. It will happen. Just be ready. I really don't know why so few people use pots in this game. I use em a lot even if I have heals. I save mp for buffs, and the money isint a big issue as you can always charge people around you for buffs to make up for using pots. Everyone wants prophet buffs. Even more so than SE. Would you rather spend 18k for a swift attack pot, or pay 5k or 10k to a prophet for full buffs :p?
In conclusion, have fun with your wolf. They own all :)
Thxs for the input,Im leveling my Human Mystic now,jus resting for mana :).After all the posts Im looking forward to leveling with a wolf. Also u mentioned about charging for buffs,Can I do that after lvl 20 change and would it be better to give buffs and just say tips appreciated?
You can always charge for buffs in the field. Especially when you get berserk. After lvl 20 you probably wont get 10k for buffs, but you can still charge those who say WTB buffs. And there is always someone who yells it :D. And to them I bet something like 2k or 3k for lower lvl buffs is not a big loss.
You can always give buffs and say tips appreciated, but you have to remember most people in this game are not as nice as few are. I have heard and seen and personally experienced some pretty ugly things in this game. More so than nice ones. Some people also give buffs for recommends, you can do that if you want your name to be blue ;).
From what I know it tends to be free buffs or for recommends in town, and charge out in the fields and inside tombs.
