I wanted to get a bit advice..I started a SH and am trying to plan a head a bit.
So while at work, I did a bit of looking and came up with this plan for C grade, and want to know what y'all think.
Weopon: Homu Sword w/Acumen
THis weopon is rather easy to get and cheap compared to other weopons..6-7 mil with crystals, grab a dagger from the luxury shop and exchange with the blacksmith..or use coins and exchange. It was allows me to get Acumen. Acumen will offset the SH slow casting speed by adding 15% to it.
Armor. Demon Set..It slows my casting speed a bit, but the Acumen will help with that..To give me a nice boost to my power...It gives a +4 Int bonus.
Tattoos.
I was thinkign a -2 Int/+2 Men...THat way my armor still gives me a small boost to my Power..and my Tatto gives me a small boost to mp regen.
So in the end is..I get like a +12% to my casting speed...+2 to my power stat +2 to my regen..So I am a bit more even.
Second Tattoo..I was thinking -4 Str/+4 Con. Con increased my weight limit, and more important HP REGEN..SH get a skill Body To mind as you all know. THat skill from what I been told elimated alot of downtime for the SH. I was thinking this tattoo would help me regen my hp fasting, so i can BtM more and have less downtime, and save money on healing potions for when I solo.
THe last tattoo...I dont know..I might not use this spot until I get high level, and know more of what I need....But if you have a suggestion..tell me plz!
You never ever want to gimp your INT on a nuker. I would go the homu with acumen, demon set, +4 INT -4 MEN, +4 CON -4 STR, and for the third one either +4 WIT -4 MEN or +1 INT -1 MEN.
Not at all, I think I went from 1225mp to 1178 from -8men. And slow mp regen on a SH especially is a non factor(as was already discussed). With CLD/vampclaw and btm, demon set, +4wit,+4int-8men, a homu +5, I did all of 41 with 0 sit time, and Was netting like 17%+ a buffround(just greater acumen pots, I don't dual box =( ).
BUMP on the -8 men not being a problem. I've had that setup for ages, with +4int, +4wit, +4con.
Only time I noticed any problem at all was when I swapped tats once and ended up with -10men. I was getting cast interupts out the ............. well you know.
I have been wondering, I only use my SH for pve, not pvp...so I was thinking about going either +1 more Wit, or +1 int. But as of now I can't see a reason too, and I can't justify buying the +4con tats as I never get hit in pve, if I do I am dead anyway from btm :P

The Con helps you do more damage from CDL and lets you have more HP to spare if your CDLing as well. CDL works on % of your HP, thus the more HP you have the safer or more damage you will do (because you'll always regen and not be at 1hp unless you overweigh yourself). So do the +4 Con as it has saved me and let me CDL mobs I normally wouldn't of been able to. The Con is not all about the Max HP, it allows your HP to regen faster, you to spare more HP while 1shotting and carrying weight. Although this is for an SH, Con is even more vital for a Necro in PvP because of TP :P. You can try the +1 int though, I'm sure it will help some, I just think you technically do more dmg with cdl and +4 con.
Demon set + Homunk/acumen
+4int -4men
+4wit -4 men
Third tat is your call until you are 52+ for PvP.
After then, get +4con -4str for HP.
(Anything to prevent being a two-shot for an archer.)
Best thing is that you keep the demon for later as a PvE set (as nothing is better really) and then just get a PvP set. (Avadon then Dark Crystal)
For -8men you are going to lose less than 60 mana/minute regen... until they make MEN mean something, I wouldn't sweat it. The absolute worst part about it is losing the 40ish mdef or so, but that is tolerable also.
