best group support class combinations

I've leveled a human cleric to 40 and am not sure if I should go Prophet or Bishop. My friends that I level with are an SK and SE. I don't care what playstyle I need to adapt to for the best class to fill the spot in our trio. We will probably focus on endgame pve until we get enough cash and gear to make pvp twinks. Thanks for any input! ( I did search the forums but didn't find the specific information regarding this particular trio. ) :)
SE has everything you need really for a duo, if anything go prophet.
So the Prophet buffs are more vaulable in endgame PVE than Bishop heals? I really wasn't sure if the SE could keep us all healed enough and the Prophet heals at lvl 50 or 60+ seem like they become negligable...
Well prophet will equal haste, MR, and HP/mana buffs along with berz2 and acumen3. (The SE provides everything else.)

Your SK will not want berz in order to tank, so that leaves you with haste and HP/mana buffs. (Useful to the SE and the prophet though)

Haste is a REALLY nice buff... but sadly, you can get it from potions...

Bishop will be the best PvP healer in the game and provide group HP buffs along with undead nuking. (seriously and needlessly nerfed in C4)

Honestly, your SE will likely be mana pumping while someone else heals, so the bishop isn't a bad choice.

Both choices have ups and downs for your situation... go with the one you will actually play.
While a prophet's heals aren't all that good, they make up for it with great buffs that save time and money. So many people use haste pots and acumen. As a prophet all you really have to do is buff and every now and then if you feel like it assist others. I have or at least used to have tons of fun on my prophet until I rerolled to a shaman because of 2boxing (I just like how it looks when you buff an entire party or clan at once :D). Other than that, prophet all the way.

Not to mention a battle prophet setup since prophets get heavy armor masteries. I used to have duals with my prophet, but I sold em and got a yaksa and full plate set. It looks awesome and I even act as a tank most of the time as my defence is over 600 in low 40s . A tank that can offer some of the coolest buffs available. Can't say anything about bishops as I never tried one.
Healing should already be a non-issue for PvE, extra Bishop heals in a little trio that already has an SE are total overkill. With VR, the SK's drains, etc, your SE should hardly be healing in the first place.

With how little MP for buffs you'll be needing, I would say Prophet--slap on heavy armor and a real weapon and do some damage alongside the SK, adding in a few buffs or mini-heals here and there.
I'd switch the Prophet for WC >.>

I'd switch the Prophet for WC >.>

+1 :D
Well you said a trio, not a big party. Bishops are completely useless in a trio at any level.
Wow, thanks for all the great info so quickly! Seems like I'll go battle prophet. :) Btw, why would a WC>Proph in our trio?
At really high levels a WC has every key buff a prophet and SE have except bts/btb and empower and does better damage; they also buff everyone at once for quicker rebuffing. On the other hand, in a trio with an SE at lower levels, a prophet might be better - they should use similar or even less mp to buff the party and can give buffs only to the people who want them or rebuff one person after a cancel/death. Also prophet buffs are higher level then WC buffs until 56+. After 58+ a WC’s skill list really starts to look more attractive.
For that trio, however, wouldn't the Prophet be much more MP-efficient?
It's a trio, MP doesnt matter much. The thing is that WC has more DPS and thus it would enhance the kill speed of the trio more than a prophet would.
WC=Buffs for all, but I don't think it's really worth it in a trio. Prophets get better buffs at lower lvls, and so do Se's. For bigger parties however WC would be better, as I am now lvling one for myself. What I do before I pick a character is to look at the skill list of similar characters, and decide which would be best for me and most appealing. In the scenario you described, prophet fits the best with the other two. Hope this helps.
2 healer classes with a tank will level slowly at higher levels... it does seem fun though :D

I suggest you have the prophet buff everyone, then just get vr and empower from the SE. This way all three can contribute to the damage, with the SE keeping her mp for the occasional heals. With the SKs hex, everyone should be able to contribute to the damage
I actually really like this trio. If you all go melee (even the SE), you can put down some good DPS and have little/no downtime. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys had to spam shots :D
If you guys preferable want to roll in a trio, reroll your character, seriously. The SE has everything you need in terms of buffs and heals. It makes no sense whatsoever to have a Prophet and SE unless they are both controlled by the same player, which basicly means you use the prophet only every 20mins for rebuffing. Don't fall for people who claim this would be an interesting setup or that one or the other of your suggestions would have some sort of advantages - it does not. What your trio needs is something that deals damage, not another healer or buffer. Fitting classes for that would be any Dagger class, Gladiator, Tyrant or Bladedancer if you want to go the melee way, or a Mage class to fully utilize your SE, but then it might be hard to give your SK a useful role.
best combo i was in, me being an archer, was SE, BD, SwS, and swift atk pots....never ran out of mp, cause of the SE, and with the dances and songs....2-3 hitting yellows. at lvl 61+ thats great for me :)
whenever I trio as a Sword Muse its me, BD, and a WC. WC can buff, heal, and play crowd control when needed. But really there is no healing required since I'm usually doing the tanking and VR makes up for the small HP I manage to lose while killing mobs. Also sometimes when my HP gets a little low I just turn off shots or let the BD or WC hit the mobs first to keep most of the aggro.

In other words WC are THE BEST.
WCs are beyond good for duo/trio. [and too good for parties...] Can buff all you need (except zerk)+agility+sleep+stun+heals and can tank for a while (if needed), drains easily replenish any HP lost on tanking. [It cant be used too much unless planning to rest every buff round for a few minutes]

They are a bit harder to lvl up, but fully twinked almost no class has issues getting into B grade.

btw unless tanking dark red mobs, zerk is quite ok coupled w/ VR.
