Best Support Class(as a 2-box) for a Tyrant

Out of all the support classes what class would be the best for Tyrant Duo. I was thinking SE b/c of the ak speed of the tyrants and the VR will gain alot of hp twinned with the atk pots but im not sure.

What do you guys think?... Bishop, Prophet, SE or EE.
I would have to agree with the SE. SE buffs focus on offense with guidance, focus, death whisper, might, and vr, added to your own self buffs for attack speed and swift attack pots you could go almost non-stop leveling. The SE's heals are also good if your VR isn't quite enough to keep your hp up.
SE. EE and Bishop are lacking in offensive buffs and Prophet doesnt have VR. And haste you can get in a bottle so go for the SE.
how about you think about a BD.

BD has dances for crts, p atk., atk speed, acc, and VR dance.

not a healer, but if you set it up right you can do it so that it acts as a healer.

problem with the bd is that in order to have the vr dance the bd has to be lvl 74. If he has the bd in group (tyrant is lvl 55 according to his sig) to get dances theres no point in xping for the bd will leech all the xp. i would go SE too cus u get heals aswell as buffs including vr.
SE definitely
SE is the ruler of boxed classes for any class that can't fight without downtime on its own. However, all who can (excluding nukers) fall before the prophet and worship it. ;)
In the tyrants case I would have to agree with what everyone has suggested-- an SE is most valuable in your two-box. With a tyrants attack speed (and with the various SAs that come with fist weapons), VR means no downtime. Focus and deathwhisper mean fist SAs become more useful.
Eeeh...i'd say Warcryer. Haste AND vr all in one neat little package. :D
Do you know at what level the warcrier gets Focus?

It sounds good on paper, but the WC is virtually worthless as a buffbox.
dont make a buffpet and play the game how its supposed to play, nub
There would be no buffpets if shouting !LF PP or shop for duo for three days in a row would result in even one group. ;)

What was first: The chicken or the egg?

WC worthless buffbox lmao

A lvl 58 SE has VR3, Focus3, Guidance3, Death Whisper3. To get the same buffs, a Warcryer has to be lvl 68 - that is when he gets Focus3. So - yes, a Warcryer is a useless buffbox, unless you plan on spending more time on lvling the two-box buffer to a useful lvl than on lvling the main. Because the whole point of a "buffbox" is to get him to a useful lvl as fast as possible and then to use him out of party. Try lvling a char to 68 and then tell me how fast that is :)

Well, and then there are of course other things to consider. Warcryer does not get single target, fast heals like greater heal or battle heal - sometimes useful if you get a bad pull. And Warcryers cannot recharge - recharge is quite useful if you want to use skills without downtime. Oh, and to use buffs and chant of life, a Warcryer has to be in party. Not that useful if you want the buffer out of party.

Of course if you already have access to a high lvl warcryer, use him. Easier than lvling a SE. But if you want to lvl a two-box buffer from scratch, Warcryer is not the best idea.
Can't count on recharges from a buffbox.

But yeah, if it weren't for Acumen even I would say the SE is better than the WC for me as a buffbox. As it stands, PP rules surpreme over all. :]

<snuggles up with Berserk, Acumen, Concentration and Windwalk>
I'd roll the SE and buy the haste2 pots.

If you get the chance to duo with a bd tho, take it. Those dances can make for a very fast Tyrant.

IMO every Tyrant should run his own OOP SE/EE after lvl 68, even if you are XPing in a group. That way you can keep Bison on 100% of the time and manage your HP just below that 60% mark.

CRIT-CRIT-CRIT-CRIT ;)
you guys got it all wrong, as good as the SE is, its more of a mage leveler. now keep in mind, this guy is going to "box" this buffer, meaning if he gets low on hp, he can simple get healed by it. so rather than SE or WC, do prophet. prophet gets all of the damage and speed buffs, like berserk2 haste2. haste2 is one of the key buffs to level effectivly, reducing the amount of time actually fighting the monster and taking less damage in the process. and as i mentioned before about healing, a prophet does get some decent healing skills, if your in an area where you need a constant supppy of hp at all times, consider bumping down to another area of mobs, green mobs still give awsome exp, its only when they turn light blue when you start losing out.
Dafool lives up to his name. With VR the tyrant will never need healing. Tyrant doesnt need zerk, especially since he is tanking, everything else he needs the SE can provide and so can one cheap little potion.
SE is the supreme buff bot for mages & melees. PP is more for the Archers.

I'd roll the SE and buy the haste2 pots.

Agreed, you don't need blesses to xp and you can buy Haste in a bottle. Missing zerk won't be too bad compared to the fact you will be having a healer/recharger combo now. SE definately your best bet because of versatility.
I leveled up to level 76 with a Prophet in tow. Awsome, no downtime whatsoever.

If you go with SE, you will need to buy Haste 2 pots.

At higher level, Tyrants get the Bison Totem, which requires Bless the Body to be practical.

Bison is by far the way to go if you can, much less A-SS and kills much faster (crit rate goes +200).
Can always get Haste2 pots and a SoES with BtB SA for the SE, cannot get VR pots. :(
VR pots have been in the game since Prelude. They're called healing potions.
After reading everyone's great feedback, I have decided on the SE because it has more Advantages than a Prophet and less disadvantages.

Thanx All,

Tanda
You wont regret it.
yeah, go for SE. iam tyrant too, current lvl 56 and always duo with my pp. i can play without downtime but iam not using fist fury as mp from buffer will be burned away for healing. with VR you can non-stop playing with fist fury which gives you great atk.speed boost.
1st What Nya said!
2nd. depending on your gear prophet+NM light is the best.

SE doesnt give you ANYTHING worth aside VR...
Focus; well won't do alot w/ so low base crit rate; dw - same, guidane - why: you will be soloing dark red mobs w/ your highest accuracy wpn, emp no words...
SE is wayyy overrated. only VR is useful and you can get more potions for the expenses of haste2.
WC would be the best all around but... you need 58 for vr2.
He can use bison totem. He can use his passive which consumes HP to increase atk speed greatly. SE is the best choice.
The SE actually has another advantage: Maybe you want to craft stuff from time to time, with a twink dwarf, a craft shop or a crafter friend. Or you might wanna go for a caster subclass some day. Or play another char some time. Even as an archer I would have wished to have an SE instead of a PP a lot of times.

There are a lot of reasons to have an SE instead of a PP, but unfortunately there are not so many reasons to have a PP instead of an SE. PP is a great buffer, no doubt, but overall, the SE is more versatile.

ok I've seen that multiple times... and it is really a dumb thing to say. If I want to lvl for an hour with haste 2 and VR, I need 3 greater pots of alcarity. Since Heal Pots=VR I should only need 3 heal pots right? No. Quit being stupid. Ty.
Actually, haste2 vs healing pot is a question of cost and damage output. You can buy 8 to 10 GHP for the cost of one GSA pot. So it's really a question of whether your toon does enought damage in 20 mins to regen 8 to 10 GHPs worth of HP. My guess is that for most melee classes, you'd be better off with a prophet up to at least B grade (since prophets can heal as well -- yes I know not well). I'm sure by the time you get 6x though, the SE is a better solution.

I'll let you know. I have an inactive 57 prophet who is now going to help build a BH and a 58 SE building a WS. Good experiment : )
