I'v seen a lot of posts state that the Golem is very good to use for a WS, but I think its quite expensive(2 or more C-crystals to start with and then some continiously, it can easlic cost more then 10k+ to keep up).
So what is exactly good about the golem?, would it be any good to use in a 2-3 box with, eg. a SE and/or af BH?
cant compare dwarf lvling with the golem
at my lvl i prolly kill faster than any other melee class (have to check destro and tyrant)
that being said it cost a friggn fortune, at my lvl it cost 63k just to have it up and it uses 120a+ per ss
it takes 15% of your xp but should easily add 50% kill speed so you'd gain more xp useing it than not
if you can afford to use it at D grade then you are richer than i ever was
that thing was a money sink even back in the days when it used D crys :/
using the gollem and panther are pretty much along the same boat as far as cost. however we have to remember that dwarfs and DA's dont' have their own real damage output skills compared to the normal DD, eg. a tyrant or a gladi, but with the summon we can deal out tons of damage. now with the cost of the panther, i refuse to level unless i'm using full buffs.
my recomendation for any ws who wants to use the gollem to definatly use it, your going to find yourself barly paying off your ss and crystal costs, but if you take the time to emply money making stratagies such as making dss, or even bss(great money maker), then you can easily meet those expenses and level just like an archer would, hitting hard and killing fast.
WS and DA summons are mostly for PvP. It makes our damge output very good. With summons we can hold out own vs most classes. But the cost too much to use to hunt with.
I do as much damage as an BD on my WS ;) so im a DD. But whatever in higherlvls golem helps lot lvling and when mobs drop 1,8k-3k+ adena it will pay off for ur ss/golem easy.

with the lvl 70 golem i was loseing 2 mil a day with full buffs
with the lvl 74 golem i lose about 500k
whats scary is the cheaper lvling technique is to sit and craft while your golem kills mobs
sounds wierd because it's SS cost me 120a but considering my ss cost about 80 and i do half the damage the maths is pretty easy to work out
The golem is a nice summon, but, warsmiths have no servitor buffs/heals, so it tends to die easily. It does add to exping speed, but it also costs a fortune to maintain. I'd consider using it a good idea for solo with a boxed buffer, but still, it is extremely expensive in the long run, and troublesome (it always dies at the worst possible moment). At your lvl, I'd only summon it in cases that u realy need the extra punch (pvp, raids etc).
