Locked Threads, your count?

So who has the most locked threads and still alive and posting? What's your count? Mine is at 2 or 3 but that doesn't include the other account. Something itches at the back of my neck telling me this thread will get locked also.

I lost count a long, long time ago. There are times that I intentionally get threads locked.

Deleted threads, on the other hand, are like people who BSoE from PvP. I still consider them a victory. :)

I received a 72 hour ban that lasted 75 hours (thanks, Sarge!). That's it. Had only a couple of warnings (all from Ash, I think). Mistryl is incredibly tolerant of me, for some reason...

I did like that he tried to "get down with the players" at times and involve himself in some discussions. However, I think he had a huge chip on his shoulder or something. Possibly he was beat up every day at school. Other than that, ah, who am I kidding; he was an insufferable little 923...

I liked him... in all honesty I never read or discussed anything on these forums when he was here, but on l2o there were constant quotes from ash about the game... we don't seem to get as much of that anymore. :(

You just have to be creative about how you say things. SirE and DM are masters at this. They can applaud you but if you are able to read between the lines you'll know you've been flamed extra crispy.

I don't see what the big deal is about having an intelligent discussion on a topic that it needs to be moderated. Then again, this is an "official" forum.

I've never had a locked thread, but a lot of mine get moved. I guess I'm like the person who says inappropriate things at dinner.

Not most, but just recently had my topic locked and I think Mistryl deleted 2-3 of my posts and some others.

I guess I should feel honored :eek:

I dont remember all my posts so I cant be sure if some have been deleted >.> But no warnings so far, hoho.

back when sarge ran the show i would get 1 locked thread every day
half of the time my threads magically disapeared when there was nothing in them

i think ive had like 50+ locked or deleted posts so far

I think I've one or two locked threads, otherwisely I'm squeaky clean. :p

If anyone sees some of their posts were removed from a thread even though the posts conformed to the board rules, chances are they were in reply to a post that didn't. That's just the way the board works when posts are removed from a thread.

If your post is the offending post, I try my best to post in the thread or send a message to let you know why it was locked/removed. Some days I'm too busy to send a message, but I try. Anyone can always send me a PM to ask about a moderation decision.

Banned 3 times (Once by Tisirin for calling Ash a n00b, Second time by Ash, for calling myself a bot (the ban was removed and Ash still considers that ban as one of his more surreal experiences as a community manager). Third time was by Sarge, for flaming (Huh?))

I have countless locks. Some wanted, some warrantted, some provoked, some incited...

Asking me how many I have exactly is like asking me with how many women I have been. The answer is I stopped counting.

ROFL ! That's some evil hilarious right there !

Well, a while back I made a char to join Skynet. I was looking for a funny name something with Sky in it, and I wanted to gain instant fame with this char. So I decided to name it Skybot. Skybot was just a n00b char. Funny how Skyday said : "Hmmmm, I'm not sure about the name". I knew I was on the right track...

So I cook up a good story to get fame for the char... So I make up a post called : SKYBOT IS A BOT !!!!!! (notice the full caps).

Then, in the post, I start telling a story about how I spotted this obvious bot, named Skybot. I talk about some of his patterns, and how I killed him, and laughed at him... It was a personnal attack shunning from the Devil himself. It was very rude... But the char gains instant fame. Bad publicity is sometimes more effective than good publicity for quick fame.

So the thread goes on, people are throwing rocks at this Skybot char, it's really hilarious ! I'm playing both parts and nobody noticed ! SWEET !

Then, a few days later, I am suddenly banned !!!!!!! WTH ??? I'm like, what the HELL did I do ? So I got in touch with a good friends, and another friend, and eventually Ash sent me an e-mail.

Here is a snippit of it...

So I'm ROFLMAO by now, so I send him a reply, and tell him look dude, check my account, Skybot is MY char... ROFL !

Accusing your own character of botting is a bit surreal, even for you. I’m glad there was a legitimate explanation for it, but the point about jokes-as-rule-violations still stands. There are thousands of people on the boards who aren’t in on the joke, and will just see a thread calling so-and-so a bot. And without the punchline being present in that thread, there was nothing to set them (or me) straight. You’re unbanned, of course.
