Well folks, I went on a shopping spree today, birthday obliges. As you all probably know by now, all other peeps decided to bring me gifts for my birthday, but NCSoft brought me a bill for my birthday...
And as if it wasn't enough, they decide to have an event just after my account expires... That's harrassement. Like, look dude, you better renew, because we got an event coming up...
So I hit the stores in search of the all elusive L2 timecard (getting a L2 time card is a quest in itself). Man, if I could get a hold of one of those buddy accounts every two months, I bet the Devil could get you a new client every two months.
But alas, the L2 timecard is pretty hard to find. Furthermore, stores will sell the L2 timecard for more money than any other NCSoft title gamecard (5$ difference). It doesn't matter to them that any card can be used on any product, they feel they can pull in a few more bucks from the hardcore folks ?
I finally had to settle for a COV timecard, because it's the same time, only cheaper. So no new customers for you this bi-month...
I also bought a spankin new Targus mouse. SWEEET !

I must be missing something (highly likely) but why is it important to use an L2 time card? Why don't you just put your billing on a cc?
I'm guessing there's a reason that most know that I missed during my hiatus?
his cc is banned from ncsoft so he must hide who he is! ok i'm j/k...
I've been using time cards lately... once my cc company put a hold on my account cause i bought gass in 2 different states and had an internet purchase on the same day... they thought it was stolen... so I've started buying time cards... they cause less problems.
Ok, I guess I understand that. But, wow. I've been using cc's to play games online since Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast, including the import of the Japanese version of Final Fantasy XI. Never had a single prob. I must be lucky... so far.

Well, I just choose not to let them have my credit card number. It's just my choice as a consumer, I have my reasons why, I have used credit cards before for games, with mixed results (some pretty bad), so it's just not worth all the hassle. Furthermore, if I decided to give them my credit card number, and then for one month, I would like to take a break and deactivate for a bit, my credit card will be barred from all NCSoft products.
Lastly, it's a fixed timeframe. You have two months to make me buy you again for two more months.

Perhaps this is a stupid suggestion but, why do you buy one before the other runs out? It's not like you have to activate it right away...

My Birthday is tomorrow. I want lots of bunnies for my Birthday.
I'm slowly bringing up an alt on Hindemith. A fishing alt. Because.
So, yeah... there.
And I think I may be making the move to TC's soon, given that they're finally going to start enforcing the tax rate (I'm in California, meaning a 7.25% addition). That was the whole reason I didn't do it sooner.
Believe it or not, I saw something like thirty L2 timecards at our local GameStop. They said that they sell decently enough out here to merit having them in bulk.
I'm still trying to get them to tell me who buys, since I can think of only two off-hand that play in my area (myself and my wife).
I know you'd love to get your hands on me, so good luck. I'm on Noob Island.
Now comes the fun part... figuring out which one is me.
You're joking right? Does any server have a TI population anymore? You should be pretty easy for SirE to spot. Besides, he has a nerdar.
You'd be surprised. Last time I was there on my Prophet, (I had the sound off) and someone shouted "What is that god-awful noise!?!". See, my prophet wears squeaky shoes and I'd forgotten about them. So I went to where the people were (a small group of newbs) and buffed them.
Yes, new people are around if one takes the time to look around. I have certain "clues" I look for but I'm not going to say what they are. I'm sure I've been fooled many times. However, I still enjoy helping the people there. I'm kinda partial to TI since my first toon was a human.
So if you see a noisy prophet there (or SE) it just might be me!
Believe it or not, I ran into a good chunk of a legit population the last time I was on Hindemith. I'd easily say I ran into fifteen or so, and for me that's considerable.
One of them even kinda RPed with me a little bit. It was fun.

These squeaky shoes are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do...
Believe it or not, I don't own a single one of the 'luxury' items. No masks, no squeaky shoes, no ears or tails.
I don't know, something about running around going 'boingy boingy boingy' strikes me as counter-intuitive to the intimidation I'm trying to set up as a villain.
I just can't bring myself to do anything like that. I never understood the obsession with ears and what have you.
Though I do have a character that may benefit from an eyepatch soon enough.
Oh, does anyone have screenshots of the various hairpins? Those I may consider using...

This is your first lesson as a villain. Just about any situation can be made to your advantage, for profit.
The idea is to exploit people*. Making sounds is an excellent way to attract people who are visually perceptive.
It's the basics of villainry. This leads me to beleive you are just a fake, a spy. We don't tender kindly to your kind stranger. You best to be worshiping your master before I make short of your life.

Keep focused on the boing boing boing while the real danger slips up near you undetected...
