[Tyrant] high lvl feedback (solo ans exp/h)

Player Questions Started Last reply 10 posts
I’m a new player. I try 2 characters :

- monk lvl 32
- and my actual main PS lvl 41

I have a bad feeling since my second class change. I feel my summoner role a little “static” to me. But pet with BSS is insane and I solo easily and fast enough to keep my player motivation.

I looking for a more “active role” and I like the tyrant look with the fist.

But I read lot of post (some of those are really old) and I want a feedback on the solo capability.

I know, a lvl 71 summoner solo on a good spot can get 3-4% exp per hour but cost lot of money.
I want the same type of feedback for the Tyrant.

Is it possible to solo until 7X?
How? Spam potion?
What’s the cost? (For 1H)
In 1H, how many SS/potion you need?

Is possible get a PVE exp farm video?

Thx for your feedback.

Best way to level a Tyrant is in a trio with BD and WC, you can easily clear any room in Cata/Necro. Solo however is harder, buffs make it so much easier, prepare for alot of downtime, unless you have tons of pots.

A summoner can solo non-stop, and at a very good pace, comparable to archers/nukers with buffs. Summoners are the ultimate pure solo class.
Tyrants cost a lot at high lvls. Ag soul shots will make you poor very fast. This is the biggest reason I have heard most people quiting them. Faster attack speed means more ss.

All melee classes suck at soloing.
Ya i have a 56 Tyrant on Lionna and i just dropped 2mil on SSB that i used in about 5 hrs. But i was doing dmg like nobodies business. [i was with a BD btw and a proph OOP and i had a 1000+ atk speed] I'd say if u had an OOP buffer/healer... BD, SwS, and Tyrant is one of the most lethal combos in the game.
depends what u want..

Tyrant: "weak" but fast

Destroyer: Strong but "slow"

well, weaker than a destroyer atleast ^^

and Tyrants hit so **** fast ur gonna be broke everyday if spamming SS
I took a whole year off from my Tyrant when he hit 61. Only really came back to him to do some higher level manor.

Since then I can't get enough of him. He's 69 and I duo him with a BD or trio to level our EE. We have an OOP Prophet and SE tho. In a 4 hour XP period I get through about 10K A:SS. During that period I'll get about 12-14% and do enough seeds to make 2.5 - 4 million selling the rewards (Synthetic Cokes and Crafted Leather mainly).

I guess you do have to be thinking about the cash outlay to cover your SS spam, but there are ways to make consistent cash whilst XPing.

One of the best bits about Tyrants is their totems. You can change your "mode" to match the situation. And when you get Bison (at 68), you'll be fighting to keep your health DOWN below 60%, which goes against everything you'll have tried to do until then. :p

I've rolled an HE, BH, SH and Sws to the 52-64 range and I have to say that the Tyrant beats them hands down for interesting gameplay.

Tyrants use 2h fist so i'm not sure why you call them "weak" they've the second highest patk in game for a melee class. As for SS usage you can cut it down by not using puma totem all the time. Trade off between bison and bear and your DPS will be higher than using Puma and SS usage will be lower.
People keep equating attack speed with SS cost, and thios is simply not true. It just means you're killing faster, but you're also getting drops faster. What makes a Tyrant expensive is the weapon type - fists are similar to blunts, so Tyrants don't get much crits at lower levels. However, I've read many times on these boards that ths situation changes at level 68, due to a skill they get. From what I've read about their crit rate at high levels, I imagine they become one of the cheapest classes to play. The player just has to struggle with shot cost through the first 67 levels.

This may be true SOLO, but anytime you party with anything other than your own boxed buffer, you can throw that out the window.

Daggers have it slightly better as critical buffs help daggers a lot more than the psuedo-blunt fists of a tyrant. More crits and harder crits = less hits to kill a mob. Faster hits, just means the mob dies faster, but it is not any cheaper to kill.

And in a party, he who attacks the most = has the most expenses, but cash is always divided equally.
OK, good point about the partying aspect. This is something game design doesn't compensate for, I suppose. A nuker can control this by the number of nukes per mob, and I'm thinking an archer has some control in a similar manner. But a Tyrant who would stop meleeing would probably be seen as a slacker, and it would also possibly put the party in danger.
