Scammer's List, who to avoid!

Hello fellow players.

I was scammed yesterday from a player on this server. I felt like crap for over an hour having been scammed in such a manner. I don't want to be scammed this way or any other way ever again, so I want to create a list of known scammers on the server. I will start it with the guy who scammed me out of some armor yesterday. You can get more details of the scam in here Common Scams (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=spoiler&Number=533688&page =0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=8).

Our website has a gallery devoted to screenshots if scammers. Feel free to add to the compendium.

PS Pat, I need you to send me an in-game email. Contact me in game.

Thanks for the invitation, I'll work my way there soon to post.
Yeah, I was there when you got scammed. But as I said to you in game, please don't let this take away from the fun you have playing L2. There are lots of cool ppl there, don't let the bad ones ruin it for you.. :)
BTW, if we ever find the guy we can get a few ppl to make his life a little more miserable.. :p

Heh, I can beat that . . . no I really can.

Jerek, don't hunt near agro mobs - I'll keep my eyes open for you.

FakeDeath ftw. And if you force log your acct will be only available to NCSoft again.
I saw Jerek yesterday when I was on around 5:00pm (currently 2:48pm my time today) and he was in Dion so if anyone wants to hunt his scammer down most likely you will find or see him in Dion gl I'll let ya know how the outcome is once I see him and get some clan members on his *** :)
He was in Dion tonight (Wed) too. He msged me asking if my clan was recruiting. If I'm not mistaken he was wearing NG gear (or D possibly), so if he is higher level, he is trying to make people believe otherwise.
I saw him yesterday (wed) as well this time he was in Giran when I purchased something from someone and he was telling me not to purchase it b/c it's way overpriced and he said he could get me it for cheap! Of course I purchased it from the other guy and then I turned around and told Jerek that he was the scammer and the theirs a forum going on about his scamming and everyone is going to now about it!!! LOL he go scared, said nothing and left! and he was actually shocked that it was about him he said "me?" and I said yep it list your name and your type of char so you better watch out!
Thanks for the information and thanks for keeping tabs here and in game.

A person in game on the day that he scammed me, someone sent me a message saying he was level 52 at that time. As prior to my TPing to the area where we met up, he was shouting level 52 looking for raid/team.
Also wanted to mention that the day of the scam, sorry if its a repeat of a previous post, 8 hours later he gets on and I send him MSN message, and he immediately put me on ignore. I did the same to him so I never see any messages he may send via private or shout.
Jerek scammed one of the lower level players in my clan for his D grade duals. i have been trying to get him to step his puny butt outside the town walls ever since then :p but he knows that when he does, "somebody is red, and the other is dead!" :)

and on a related thread topic note......avoid MissInnocent and PrinceHyrule. both known scammers....

I confirm that last part as well...
Ok thanks for hte upgrade I'll keep an eye open for him and let you know if I see him in any of the towns!
I have some screenshots taken from a dwarf around Giran GK who had the quantity and price of his shots mixed up, "accidentely" of course.

I will give them to Pam so that he can put them online at his site.
add me to list please
lol.. I saw that dwarf too, and a clannie almost fell for it.. The good thing is that he was trying to buy a good number of DSSs, and the dwarf was only selling 11.. lol.. For 50k a piece..
Yesterday they tried the one with the similar clannie name on me.. lol.. yeah, that NG female dwarf REALLY has to see how my Homu looks on her.. Yeah, right..

add me to list please

Blah must be down again. Attenton starvation.
Yes, Jerek also scammed one of my close friends of his Stormbringer.

He seems to be a master at this.
rikoIII in dion is scamming a lot of people by setting up a shop for 1 AA priced at 1.2 to 1.3 million with the title all or nothing.
She sets it up as a bulk sale so I guess people will think it is multiple AA and possibly avoid the scamer list on [censored]

I second that, it's not a bot though.
If he is blatantly advertising falsely, it counts as a scam. If he doesn't advertise falsely and lets you figure out whether the deal is a good one or not, it's not a scam.

I can certainly put a for sale sign on my car and list the price at $6 million. Doesn't make me a scammer.. makes the buyer an incredible fool.

If I advertise it at $600 but bait and switch you into a $6Mill payout, then I'd be scamming.

Recognize the line.
To the OP, are you SURE this is a legitimate sale? Some servers afk sellers have put a single item at an outrageous price so their sell shop doesn't get sold out (can't get sold out). On my server when folks were training aggros into Dion every night for awhile I listed an antidote for 1 million adena--it wasn't a scam, it was so no one could buy me out and close my afk shop. For about a month a few weeks ago it was a common practice in Dion to list a basic item for millions to preserve afk shops.......
It finally occured to me that I probably could be not killed while afk by an aggro while sitting on the ground--so I stopped worrying about it. It was quite the topic for awhile, though.
I can't tell if this is what you're describing but it sounds similar.
the 1 AA was also saled in bulk, so if she/he puts other reasonable products just next of it, you still have the AA to get it = sounds like scam to me.

I agree with you 2 guys points though.
OK, say you have someone advertising 1a craft shop. They have 12 items for craft, one of them is actually 1 million adena.

Is it a scam?

I'd say look out for the guy because he advertises one thing but does another, even though 11 of 12 items do actually craft for 1 adena. It isn't really a scam, just partially misleading.

Just because this guy is selling his bulk of one ss for an exorbitant price, does not mean that he's a scammer (and certainly not a good one). Every player that does business with him is actively price checking unless he has a blatant lie in his advertisement that is played into with his shop (ala advertising a grade ss for 90a but in-truth have 90 a grade ss selling for 20,000a. The ad+the sale is designed to scam the unwary).
If I put 9 DSS up for sale at 50K each and bulk it It is a clear attempt to fool someone which in my books is a scam.
If the shop name has all or nothing and 1 AA for sale at 123777455a it is done in an attempt to foll the buyer into thinking they are getting so many aa for 1a which again in my books is a scam.
I believe that all scammers are scumballs, but not all scumballs are scammers.

Not excusing poor behavior, but drawing a dustinction between a scammer and a tool who isn't actually pulling a scam.

It's fairly relative and moot.

Point noted.
Please be aware that a player called Yareth is imposing himself as one of my clanies and PM's people to ask for their weapon as a trie out on his alt Kaond.

This scamming trick was tried on me yesterday but I have busted the player red handed...But should you get a PM of this name or the Kaond one be warned that this is a scamm and is in no way related to our clan.

Thanks!

Leyanire
Good catch.

I hope that some life insurance salesman scams that player's mom in real life. Seems fitting considering how she apparently raised her son (or daughter).
