My advice to other people....don't hunt them. I got lucky and found one in 10 mins of hunting. But even with 10 mins of hunting they are not worth the exp/dropsto hunt. 100k exp and 2 med sp scrolls. From what I heard on the real L2 forum, thats all anyone is getting. So really its not worth it to hunt. If you happen to find one while hunting...
I dunno for something so rare whats the point..... You don't get anything good from finding one...
Would have made it a little more worthwhile if there was a nice drop of some sort, even if rare to drop. Blessed enchant scrolls or the Antharas, Bauim, Valakas jewelry :) The higher areas should have higher xp and the high grade sp scrolls at least :(
If enough of a variety of regular enchant scrolls, soul shot packs and goodies like that dropped it wouldnt mess up the market.
The event that I hope they bring back with no changes is the Medal event where you could buy a nice variety of items such as A (now S?) grade jewelry, potions and especially the stage 11, 12 and 13 Soul Crystals.
I love the events, just hoping they will make them worth participating in again :)
I killed 3 rabbits, made .4% and got 4 medium sp scrolls...took me about 1.5 hours to find them all and a bsoe to train back to the one in catacomb of forbidden path...I agree don't even bother looking just get lucky and xp near one.

Yes the medal event was good and made the price of lvl 11 and 12 crystals a little more reasonable.
They're harder than the grind. A friend and I have been playing alot this weekend and we've both been pretty much all over the map and many obscure places....yet, all we've found was 2 rabbits (and one I found alone and the other was in a level 70+ catacomb which we couldn't get to)

You know, there should be an event that drops a-grade helmet recipes as somewhat rare loot.
Did you guys ever for ONCE think this was a mild event to ease the grind a LITTLE every once in a while if you're lucky. I've found rabbits on accident just messing around doing random hunts in -scenic places-. That little boost of xp every once in a while is more than enough to satisfy me. I don't need millions of adena to just drop into my pocket every freaking event.
For a high level that little boost is equivalent to maybe 4 mobs. It's not server or area either. I find them while riding a fully buffed strider through large areas unfrequently hunted. I can cover from HV through FG to DC to blazing swamps to aden in 20 mins. :p
What? Ease the grind by flooding griefers everywhere? (since the grief classes are amongst the fastest moving too)
Well, sorry for not racing all over aden with some overbuffed fighterclass on a strider.
And if I want to enjoy scenic places I have more than enough great people on the server to go share it with, but thats something I'd do because there is a moment that calls for it...not because its needed to participate in the events, which then turns out to give very disappointing results, ESPECIALLY when Ornery specifically said there would be "much more" rabbits, which is clearly not the case.
And yes, its fun for those who don't "play the alternate market" or gets gear thrown at them by other sources to have a little something fun that gives something too.
Totally agreed. If there were about 10x the rabbits it'd be great.
Besides searching for them on a strider isn't worth it. They give horid exp. If you're going to make them that hard they need a better return. If you're going to give a crappy return, they shouldn't be so hard to find.
Mind you, a certain "program" has a much larger radar than standard L2. I'm sure these "program" users will easily find the rabbits before we do.

I can see where this is going... I keep expecting future "rabbit style events" to go like: Get a 9 people group, go to TOI, grind of a week, get the recipes for all the parts of a bunny, find the mats, find a 78 lvl dwarf to craft a bunny for you... and then KILL IT! :eek:
...and get 2 medium SP scrolls and 150k EXP for it. Then realise the mats cost you 10mil and the time you spent grinding for the parts and stuff actually equalled to more than 100 bunnies.
This event is a nonfactor, it has 0 impact on anything. Heck, most people wont even notice the event.
I have yet to notice the event, wonder if it's truly one out there or peopels lying, never saw an single bunnie last year and have yet to see it this time, ben ingame more then 20 hours over this event so far, and yep ofcorse not seen a single bunnie.
Yes, the rabbits are TOO rare. Heck, if they gave me the power to modify this event, I would modify it so that it was a kind of "extra" reward while doing your normal grinding. I.e. stay in a cata room / on a TOI floor / in your usual outdoors hunting spot, and get one rabbit spawning IN THAT AREA about once an hour. Not as it is right now - I played six to seven hours each day since the event started, and I have not seen ONE SINGLE rabbit yet. And I even spent two hours running from Aden to Dion while taking special care to look in all the less frequently visited areas. And I was in GC yesterday for several hours - no other players in the rooms we used for our pole party - and not one single rabbit spawned there. Why are they so rare? Why can't they spawn EVERYWHERE? As was said up there - either up the reward SIGNIFICANTLY to compensate for how rare they are (else it is not worth to spend time looking for them), or make them FAR more common. The reward as it is right now is for a higher level player nothing more than one oversized mob. Heck, one or two angels on the higher levels of TOI give nearly that much exp if you solo them.

This is the problem with NCsoft American Team.
They are not listen to the players, they are giving us the same events, They are not thinking or improving. They gave us the exact same events as before.
Granted They gave the Battle Tournament, nice but was set only for the highest lvl toons and the top players per server, didn't target other people.
The only time they listen to us, is when over 50 people complain, and explain why what they are doing is broken (IE; arrow head run, Battle tournament; highly +ed gear Vs. non-H. +'d gear).

This BS of only getting one bunny every so often, that is mostly found by AFK groups. Every single event has been controlled by those that run groups all day and night.
Basically, I'm getting tired of how this game is ran, and RF is much funner.

Why does that seem insane to you? This is THE ONLY way a company can run an MMO... by listening to the players who support it. And if NCSoft deoesn't realize it soon... I'm afraid they're in for alot of trouble... you see, competition is not standing still... they 're out, guns blazing...
That isn't really a problem, I have no problem with them rehashing events from last year (and next year too), they just shouldn't nerf them into near uselessness :( That makes them a disappointment....and worse makes people disillusionized about events, and so when they DO make a good event again, people will be upset because they didn't take it seriously and lost out.
Bah that's sad... the last easter event, if you found a bunny, you found ten of them in a group... a level 40 character would gain 1-2 entire levels or around 150% exp from them all... not to mention the chest they "guarded" contained a lot of goodies... :)
Ye, but this event just plain sucks. I havent left town at all during the event since I will be making more money just shopping. And 160k exp from some bunny that I might find or not find, meh no thanks.
Once you know where they spawn you can just keep checking those places. And surprise surprise, keep hitting that /target rabbit button cause you never know when some lost rabbit pops up in your path.

Read about my first encounter. That's what I did. Second, I don't play this game simply to level. There is an aspect called "fun". I think a lot of people have forgotten about that. And, for me, running around in a place I have no business being in, trying to work my way through the deep red aggro mobs to get to that second rabbit was fun.
Well, then they wouldn't really be getting anything out of it either. Good you had fun sneaking into a deep red place (and good that you can without players taking you out). But an event should be fun for more than 5 normal players and a bunch of griefers.

I'll spell it out again. I found my first bunny right where I was hunting already. And, there were plenty of other (manned and unmanned) players around. I merely had to go a little ways (like 30 seconds of running) off the beaten path to find it. I looked there on a hunch and it paid off with 20% EXP.
Haven't seen one griefer. Everyone loves me; even when they don't know who I am. :p

Possibly. However since these aren't giving "phat loot" I'm sure they're under reported. Think about it, now that you know what the rewards of this event are, I'll bet you've given up searching. Last time, with the groups and the chests, the rewards were great so there were entire clans out doing nothing but hunting for them.

No actually, because griefers are all over the main areas, we're out playing alts all over the map instead. So we are searching for the bunnies.
In short the amount of rabbits shold have been 10 fold at least and more secondary rewards of them.
I found a rabbit today! I was barely paying attention when doing my spellhowler quest when I saw a dark red bunny hopping around. I hit it, 1 dmg. Again and again.. I almost laughed thinking I couldn't kill it. Finally did some dmg and got about 160k exp which was maybe 10% on my level 39's in a duo.
Played every day so far but have not hunted for bunnies. So far, zero bunnies.
I know 2 people that have found one each. The first one was not magical and gave nothing and the other one was killed by other players before he could get there.
Found 3 rabbits total today, found one on accident when grinding out the SH quests, then two more in sea of spores. I was hunting there and thought, hey I bet there are rabbits here. /target [Rabbit] and found one, then went macro target hunting for the second. Really helped me hit 40 on both chars today (SE/SH)
Topic: I happened to see and killed a wabbit two nights ago. Was just returning to Gludio after some grind/questing and ~ voila! Rabbit Time! Was right of the path into Gludio (approaching from west, AC area).
At level 30 it was like 15% exp tnl plus 2 5k sp scrolls, and I wasn't even looking. I thought of it as a nice treat. I would have been fine without it, but it was a nice (unexpected) way to end the evening. :)
usually im a fan of the l2 events, but they ruined this one. Last years event was great...this one is horrible. ive gotten maybe 20 rabbits, 2 days of lvling time gone, and i got alot of sp. thanks. i have plenty of that anyways, cause i constantly pvp. So... gg. :|
Please dont screw up the pumpkin festival, or raidboss events. I was really looking forward to this one too. While i know that its hard to please everyone, the last time this event was run, it was excellent. All you had to do was increase the spawn rate, and time a little. would have been perfect. :|
FINALY managed to find an rabit, probobly ben ingame like 30-40 hours during this event to... yes found 1 rabit who gave 70k XP.... not much at all.... Like 0,1% xp or so.
I found 2 in GC, one of them caused a party wipeout (bad spawn and someone had trained some mobs up there earlier)...we got 55Kx2 XP per character to 5 characters, and 2x2 medium SP scrolls.
I wouldn't say that, because then I'd have to say NCSoft is stupid, which they aren't.
But yes, of course, I am simply missing all the posts praising and praising this event as really great on all the different forums...you know, like the pumpkin event was, or even the second raidboss event.
