This is just some armor I recolored, I was bored and figured I just do it to see what this armor would look like in a different color let me know how it looks.

hehe ^^
Try a less saturated color and your results will be better.
If you have a tablet, try using a brush in color mod instead of hue/stauration controls ^^
The full set unsealed doesn't match, the gloves are brown and purple, as opposed to black and red like the rest of the set. (yes, it really was all UNSEALED)
Hehe. I'd love to make a wine red version of Blue Wolf for female healers - but not only do I lack a good screenshot, I also lack the confidence to pull it off well without either a tablet or lots of time. xD
I was checking around the screenshot of Mielle for colours matching at 0 tolerance, trying to make a selection - in the end i wound up doing it by hand, was faster.
The selection can be really dirty. In my example, I made a five second silhouette around the figure. After that, I simply sampled the colour(s) I wanted to replace ( blue ), then I moved the levers around until I got a desired effect. Cutting them out and pasting them in place took longer then changing the colours.
The only hard part is sampling the colours ( and that is easy ). All you do is pick one, sample the chosen colour's mid tone, then a highlight, and finally a shade. It will pick up anything within the range and hue... so it is likely that it will bleed into another area... which is fine, because lowering the tolerance or using soft eraser/ history brushes cleans it right up.
Omg Bhod that red BW looks awesome. They should allow us to dye our robes and armor like that, those colors are great.
And Viper, I like your choice of where the colors should be placed, however you keep choosing overly saturated colors, was difficult to look at straight. Try darker, more subtle colors if possible ^_^
if youre using photoshop
I would use a new layer in mode color over it. Then you can paint each part individually.. but again, that can be tricky for someone with a mouse..

.... or people who don't know what they're doing.
This is the way I would do it, should I ever feel the need to do so. I need to have absolute control over the outcome. /replace colour is nifty for quick corrections.... but it doesn't compare to good ol' fasioned brush work.
It would look cool in a 2 tone color scheme like black and yellow. or red and silver. the way you got it now its just hard to see the lines from piece to piece cause all the red blends together.
Ok These are what I was able to do just by using paint brush not sure if it's all cracked up to be but I'm learning.. other than using layers, if you was in my shoes using paintshop pro 8.10, you'll understand also on how to use them when you don't know much about it..
That second one is hot stuff. I would have been a little more thoughtful while recolouring the legs, but the rest... oh man, I would love to see that ingame.
I have a pic of a recolored Blue Wolf Robes on a DE female, but I can't seem to find it. I'll post later if I find. Was awesome looking recolor to a very pretty red color.
