I see many people complainng, how events are bad, how GM's are slackers, how eula will just get ya banned, how bots are rampant, how many scammers are here, basicly how this game is bad, not much posts on how this game is good.
So the question to you, love to bark - no bite populace, is why in the world are you still playing a game with so many drawbacks?
ps. lineage is addictive, but thats not a true answer. please be faaar more specific.
Like splatter this was my first MMO. I plan on sticking till the end but for now I'll take a vacation. I was going to reactivate my accounts for this event but decided to hold off because of the recent trends. Unless there's a hidden statistical bonus then this event can be one of those that can stay permanent ingame an really not affect anything. So for now I'm done. Summer's coming.
There's a lot less drama than in MY UO server, more PVP than DAOC. Eve made me want to stab myself. WoW made me want to stab everyone else. D&L is never coming out and it looks like ***.
I think that covers it. Also, my character rocks. Seriously when i show people pics and fraps i have to preface it with the fact that it may cause the ladies to faint. He's just that ****.
edit: hardcore UO RP severs rock the hell out of any RP in L2. RP or get banned ftw.

L2 is endless. You can't beat it. It's not JUST a game it's sort of an experience. For some...a little too real, but you can really gain a lot out of playing and focusing and working with others as much as you have to. L2 is a game you fight the odds in. There is no cheat code, no easy up, you have to compete with all those that don't play fair. You start at a disadvantage. Overcoming adversity is what makes people stronger...and this game worth playing.

Really, I dont know. Lineage 2 is not worth to be played. This game contains absolutely no fun, no challenge and no alternation. The economy is crashed. We have absolute inflation.
The rare events, offered by NC-Soft, are a impudence. For me, there are no more feeling of success in this game. Of course, I've got a big friendlist. But 80% of them left the game for over one year. Now I am still here, waiting until another company brings a better game to the market. Until then, L2 is only a waste of time and money.
Only the nice grafic in Lineage II prevented me from playing another game until now.

I think L2 is the best MMO on the market handsdown and I've tryed 7 or 8 other MMO's before coming here.
Some problems, I overlook nowadays, others are slightly more annoying, but are tolerable.
ETA: I'm joking. It didn't make me run, but it definitely wasn't more drive to stay there than the manor system was to go to Devianne - and I'm an avid RPer usually. It's just not my style.

The only reason why I can think that this game sucks is the way it is being run. I am not saying GMs is not doing a good job, but they certainly need to do better.

I wondered the same thing before I decided to try out Lineage 2 and I've never had anyone I know tell me anything about this game thats why I decided to try it out.. The people are great and helpful the game is truly interesting with the different chars and I find the game leveling annoying at times because I'm not a patient person but it's a challenge same with getting money! The Graphics are cool and over all out of Guild Wars, Diablo2 & any other online battle game I have played Lineage 2 is the most addicting, most fun and most interesting game I have ever played and I LOVE IT :)

That's pretty much true.
I have looked over a lot of game forums and it's all the same. People wanting the game fixed, balanced, wanting a nerf, thinking that they are nerfed, hating customer support, quitting threads for no real reason at all.
Especially the power games. ****. It's night on impossible to make a game with endless content that is engaging "all the time, everytime".
L2 has a lot of great things and some not so great. It's a game, not nirvana.
I cannot point to one game that someone isn't complaining about something.
That L2 allows people to be people, the rules do not constrain us. The evil can be EVIL, the good can be good, and we each find that we fall someplace between the two extremes.
While imperfect, it is FAR better than any game out there. FAR better.
Regarding the whining: It comes with the player base, immature people whine because they have so few life experiences that they are not able to put the great deal we have with L2 into proper perspective. So ignore the whiners, every game has them. Other games have more since they cater to people who like things easy.
L2 is for the good players, you cannot succeed here unless you are good. Darwinism FTW.
L2 was the first MMO I played, and it has been very fun at times. The most fun I had in this game was in the first year of play, however. Since March/April of last year I've been playing sporadically, taking a few weeks or even months off here and there, not by conscious decision, just because I didn't feel like logging in.
What keeps me in L2? Well, I have spent a lot of time looking for another game, however, it's not a decision I'm going to take lightly. I've spent several hundred dollars in the past two years on monthly fees and several thousand hours leveling 3 characters up to their mid-sixties. I'm not just going to throw all that away unless I like the other game better than L2. For instance, I played SilkRoad for a while and I liked it a lot, just as much as L2, but it's very similar to L2 in gameplay and style, and I'm not going to give up 2 years of work to start over new in what is a nearly identical game.
So what keeps me playing L2? Mostly that I’ve put a lot of work into the game. Secondly, the people, though I’d say 80% of the friends I’ve made in this game have quit – my friend’s list is getting rather sparse. I love the graphics, however, I wouldn’t say they keep me in the game. Rather, they keep me from trying out other games that have crappy graphics. All of that considered, if my dream game came out, I’d leave L2 in a heartbeat. :p

I am happy with the game. I like the game. I used to write good things abt it, but the way it is being run overshadow it all.
Outstanding Graphics, Super game mechanics, best multifaceted gameplay,most interested politics and user interaction, helpfull usercommunity. Imo the best mmorpg available atm.

Negatives are easier to pick up on then positives. there are more good things in the game then bad, thats easy to say. i play because of the Adventure, friendships, PvP and the other people who i have a great time with. WHat gets me is only de's go bounce. Humans and elfs should as well!!
Oh I love this game. I started off with Guild Wars, which I loved for all of two weeks until I found Lineage, um, that was 6 months ago. GW is gathering dust.
L2 has graphics, people, its beautiful. It keeps on evolving for me.
got bought Everquest2 for christmas, played it twice, and only just remembered to cancel my subscription! They wanted to know what game I had left it for.....lol
L2 just keeps getting better for me and my DE is now a shiny bright spellhowler of 46, Im a happy bunny, no pun intended!
He's mean, evil and cruel and some day I know that Titan needs to be taken out and it's my goal to do it. However the fact that he's not on my server means that will not happen anytime soon I just keep leveling and playing till that day comes when me and Charmille 1 on 1.

I played Lineage1. I thought I'd give L2 a pass because I was anti-3d games for some reason, but it's so ****ed pretty. And then I met some really cool people and decided to stay.
I like the grind, but I'm more of a long-term gain person anyway. I ignore the software enhanced players, and go about my business most days. No instanced game play is also a bonus for me.
once T2.1 goes live, you will have to change your mind because of the game changes really great. actually we will play another game at very many aspects. L2 goes close to WoW and this tendency is kept by obvious reasons. L2's fantastic graphics + moderate features for casual players = probably winning game. but this will be actually another game, not the game we're loving now.
