I have a level 26 Elven Scout and I'm going Silver Ranger, But for now I was wondering on how they do at pvping at the lower levels 25-39? I currently have +7 TOP Cross Light Bow DG & the full Mithril set all +3 and +4 Elven Jewels and stuff like that un less anyone else knows what would be better for her I think she's got the best she can get for now till level 40 anyways I want to try pvping but I just want to know how good of a chance she has to last? What classes would be hard and what classes would be easier for her? and is it easier for her to pvp out in the open outside of town or in the arena? Or would it be the same to pvp in both area's? Thank you in advance for all your help :)
+7 lcb thats at least what 30m ? so my question to you is how dod you get that and know nothing about pvping ? let alone with onbe of the most common characters ?
LOL I have a great clan who helped me out as well as a 40+ Prophet who got pretty decent drops in raids and when I started this game last year I started with a friend who gave me tons of stuff to help me out since I was a newb and then she decided to quit and give up her account so she sold everything on all 4 of her players and ended up giving me about 30mill which was amazing and made me happy so I used it to give the rest of my chars top equipment and since they have top equipment I've been too worried to lose it since I've never actually pvp'd with any of my chars (top char being a healer and all) and I just made my elf about 2 weeks ago!

Why do you question how she got the items? That wasnt what she asked for. It is people like you that piss me off. If you didn't realize it by now, the game has been out for a long time, and many people are bored with their high lvl character and reroll. And they can afford D stuff to be overenchanted, and could not give a care in the world if they blow it up. So please stop questioning people about how they got their items and actually answer if you have some knowledge about it.
I would answer the OP question, but the only time I tried an archer I stopped at lvl 39 and never PVPed with it.

so by your logic, any toon with + equipment must always in every case by all natural laws be a cheater?
let me guess... you worked very hard to get into B grade and cant compete with your non + and non SA weapon.
[Censored] newb.
OP: pvp in the arena so u dont loose exp.
if youre looking to openly pvp anywhere the best places to do that are in the catacombs and necropolises; keep potions handy, and keep your eye on who's talkin smack.
once you hit SR youll have a much better and easier time of PVP because youll have stunshot, doubleshot and a few other tricks.
Awesome thanks a lot guys I've always wanted to pvp in the arena but I've been worried once I shoot I would have to stand there to take hits which I don't want since there is no where to run in the arena huh but I guess thats the point well I'll try pvping in the arena there and if anyone wants to help me out on the Seig server just looking for a female elf with **** legs that will be me with an arrow in your *** JK ;) thanks again
But for those of us who only play a couple of hours a day, arena is king to try out new skills when we slowly get them. I go there at least once a week, or anytime I acquire some much needed skills to try em out on people. Besides out in the field, you will rarely find someone your own lvl to pvp against. It's usually some high lvl who flags you so you die from a mob, or an actual pk'er who is at least 1 or 2 grades above you. I still flag back, but just fun to see if I can kill him. And when I can, it happened before I laugh my *** off at his [censored] for dying to someone lower lvl than him.
ok i'm a Silver Ranger.... best place for you to PvP is in the open. the main advantage of an Elf...is Dex, which is running speed, crit rate, evasion, and what i have learned, mostly from helpful hints from people that i have PvPed, is that being an elf archer, is you have to keep moving, your evasion is higher when you move, works in the arena aswell... but don't base PvP on the arena, thats not where we shine. Open areas, hit your target and start to kite, they won't be able to hit you cause of your hitting range. hard class to beat is nukers...they have sleep and hit hard. i can't remember what it's like in Dgrade, but i'm sure its the same as B and Agrade. so...just keep moving, kiting, don't waste time with your special until you get stun shot (Best Skill there is).
just remember....practice as much as you can. thats the only way to learn how to beat each class. and seeing how you're decked out in the best of Dgrade...you shouldn't have any problems beating any class.
have fun
edit: just forgot to mention...if you're fighting a melee class, use entangle...then you'll beat them down with no problem
I wanted to try pvping lastnight but I think I'm going to wait till level 28 or 30 when I get stun *hopefully thats my next two levels* b/c I want to try using it on someone and see how well it works/lands :) thanks for the advice guys and I know I will probably get destroyed by a melee cuz I'm still learning how to kite and stuff!
Tiffy, is your clan at war with somebody by chance? I am just curious what your interests are in PvP......it just sounds like you either A) want to become a griefer B) think that you will encounter PvP situations everytime you are out trying to grind or C) just want to get good at it. if B is your reason, don't worry.....Sieghardt server doesnt have much of that (as far as i have seen) unless maybe you grind around Floran Village a lot. and if A is your reason....let me know now so i can put your name out to my lowere level clan members :(
LOL no no actually it's b/c I've been leveling around Dion lately just outside of town and my clan recently have been pk'ed by some people for nothing so even thou I'm a low level I've never fought another char thats red or another char with my archer before so I'm kinda just preparing so that next time I am encountered or my clan members need help I want to be willing to go help them even if the pker is higher level my archer is pretty stocked with top DG stuff and would do some what damage and 3 of us clan members can probably take on this pker that has been known to be pking lately around Dion! I'm up for the challenge but I want to be prepared and the best prep for me right now is get some pvp experience in down at the arena so I know my strengths and weaknesses! Don't worry I'm not looking to pk anyone but I would be interested in pvping with someone my level if they want to try it out and are curious like I am!
So basically my answer was B I just want to get good at see experience what it's like and have some fun :) nice fun don't want to turn red or gain karma or anything lol
Actually not really I'm not a super high char yet so I don't want to fight high level chars I will just get my *** handed to me on a silver platter heh But the problem was my two clan members were fighting together in the HC area and some pkers that were red were out there and decided to attack them and kill them b/c they were low levels BUT my clan leader came to he rescue and.. no more pkers hehe *evil laugh* I just wished I could of ben there to help me him even if he could handle it himself BUT I just basically want to try pvping out since I've never really done it and I want to learn how to pvp with my char to see how I do! And most people say if you get killed by a melee then you don't know how to kite how will I learn unless I try it out? LOL
Archers thrive in well made groups that occupy open spaces.
They are for the most part, weak when alone and strong when together. Stun shot is one of the most useful skills in the game when it comes to open PvP, someone always runs away or is hard to catch. You have the runspeed to catch anyone and the ability to stun them at 900 range.
You're best off targetting low pdef classes, robe users are obviously best. Avoid tanks like the plague even if one is hitting you pick a robe user to hit in mass pvp instead.
Most of all just play the class a lot and fight people in all kinds of situations, if you are observant you will pickup little tricks by watching other people and fighting them, even if it is in the arena, it's possible to practice numerous things there.
Sound cool and if you guys are interested or want to know I'll post a message on this post tomorrow and let ya know how I do in my first pvp in the arena as well as my first pvp in the open field ok thanks again for the help and advice :)
