Hi All,
I am fairly new to Lineage2 and to the Lionna server. Being noob, it is very hard to tell who is who on the server as far as major alliances and rivals goes. I am almost positive that there are plenty of other noobs like me out there that are having a hard time "keeping" up with political side to this server. Could a few of the more seasoned vets please give a breakdown of what is going on? Alot of us noobs are running around with your low level alts completely oblivious to who exactly clans or alliances like Invincible and Choas are or if there are scammer clans out there that us noobs should be aware of, any info would be appreciated. There are two basic sides, the most castles are controlled by the mirage/ invincible side. Old alliances who've been motive forces on the server since the beginning. The other side is the Chaos Aurorae side, now just chaos since Aurorae merged with them. Not an old ally but the clans are from a long time ago and they've been fighting Inv for a long time for the most part.
That's a gross generalization but it'll do. There's also the neutral components biggest of which is probably RisingBlades. I can personally recommend Clan Noob. It's my old clan, they're neutral though [censored] on both sides often try to force neutrals one way or another. I can't think of any scam clans off the top of my head. For that you're better off learning names. Usually people are somewhat ostracized for scamming you unless you're an idiot and buy D crystals for 10k or something.
There are also what i refer to as semi-allies. these are smaller clans which definately side with a side or ally but aren't part of the main group. These are often alt clans or clans made to hold lower level folks who are going to join the ally.
Besides this there are often clan-clan issues like the Noob HoO stuff where clans themselves have issues rather than an entire ally. These are usually frowned upon in bigger allies because it usually means drawing your entire ally into your personal fights.
Edit: Sorry for being so brief, polatics on this server are so convoluted it's hard to give a reasonable length explanation which is also true. That's another thing to realize. Many people, especially in the big alliances have personal vendettas from over a year ago. This means that there is a lot of bias in what you hear. This is especially common for new players, whoever gets to you first tells you that the other side is pure evil, ebaying scammers. Most folk are just folk, it's the very influential people within an ally that make the difference.
Also, there are probably hundreds of smaller clans and dozens of alliances but in general you tend to only really care about what your ally is doing and how the other alliances afffect you.
I would ignore what Thursday said, as it's... well, pointless.
Invincible and Chaos are the two major powerhouses on the server, as has been mentioned.
I won't speak for any other alliances other than my own (Rising Blades) and that would be to say that we maintain a diplomatic neutrality with the Big 2. We exist simply to provide a place for those who don't want to get dragged into the politics.

OMG that sounds perfect for me :) How does one become a "Rising Blade"? Hmmm might have to ditch the mace though and get a sword . . . after all I'd look kinda silly since it not "Rising Blunt".
Anyhow, I'm not big on politics and it seems lie a nice fit . . . can you PM me maybe a link to alliance forum or something?
