Currently a elven knight,using a Sword of Revolution and Brig shield.Planning to be a Swordmuse.What is the best weapon type for this class path. Duals,2handed or 1h/shield.Please post opinion and why.Thanks for help :D
I see most swordsingers go either with sword/shield or two-handed sword. They do not get duals masteries, but if you want deal some damage overenchanted pair is not a bad idea. Heck, they can do good with a bow too... hard to say, maybe some high-level SWSs can post their setups and opinions?
You'll hear alot of bs but the best way to go is a focus 1 hander with shield maybe some +str -con tatts because u wont be pvping for a while probably.
with the upcoming c5 info rumors, it seems sws will be the anti-nuke of the future with their already decent self mdef buff, and song for the party, now with shield mdef it may be a great way to combat magic with melee. sword n shield theoretically (if the rumors were true) would then be the most beneficial. yeah focus sword is a great option. i see some yaksa's with health for hybrid tanking. not great damage output, but its offset by the health sa.
I'm currently rising a sws as well '-'/ Here are my thoughts:
C grade: Berserkers sword with PL set isn't such a bad idea, at least until lvl 49 when every non-nuker party would want you in their party. +4 STR bonus combined with Berserkers' high patk is really good for soloing (with buffs it's a dream).
B grade: the difference between 2H sword and 1H sword in patk is less 20 again (like in D grade) so 1H sword is the best choice. Remember that you have Shield Mastery at lvl 2 too, use it! Kesh w/Focus SA should do the trick.
A grade: dunno ^^. Tallum is a must tho, it goes well with any a grade weapon (thanks to the 8% atkspd bonus).
