Did the pet quest with little money got to Gludio and had no more money had to sell my armor to get home lol Ah it sucks. Cant fight anything to lvl because my stats are insanely low. Im lvl 18 right now. Been playing for about a 5 days now i guess.
Dark elf and probably going for the dark wizard path. I never finished teh oet quest cause i couldnt get there to go the test. Now im stuck. Someone gave me a scroll to get home. And now im there with like 124 adena.
Thing is i have no armor or jewelry and fighting the monsters that were somewhat hard before are now killing me. I "had" the devotion set now im down to nothing. So i dont see how i can do the quests to get the money.
Lol nothing. i feel really dumb for selling it. I sold it when i was trying to tele for a quest thinking it wouldnt cost so much. I didnt pay attention to how much i had. I started off with 67,000 before the quest next thing i know its all gone and im stuck. :(
Ok, first of all, if you can kill the fungus you can stil get the sacs (vollodos quest). Might take a little longer but you will still get them. Do this a few times and buy a weapon. Then do this more. When the game first started, a clannie and I would pass each other going either way while continually doing the sweetest venom quest.
OR...
Just reroll. And start again. It doesn't take a long time to get to 18 compared to how long it will take to get to your later levels.
Just be smart about money and dont' sell gear to ever "get back home". You can always run. Good luck.

I have found that the only way to squeeze money out of a dwarf is to shower them with experience consistantly. Group them, flatter them, let them keep the spoils. And then when you really need something, it's time to

I was doing the mark of the travler quest so i could get back to elmore. And there was (3) Proofs of blood just laying there in the open with no one around.....
proff of blood is junk at higher lvls (try to sell to the shop might be worth something)
to the op i suggest you start force attacking gueards untill you are lvl 4
once you are lvl 4 you can go back to killing the first mobs in game and with your upgraded skills you will be back on your feet in no time

When I first started all way back in prelude. Was dirt poor just like u seem to be, had to run from town to town cause couldnt afford the port fees. This was on a LE wizard to lol
buy a cloth robe/stockings so u can hunt again. Venum sack quest is right there in town to make 3k for killing easy mobs just outside.
Take the varnish/bones/steel and other mats u find along ur way and sell them for market prices. If you make enough to invest in the manor system I would suggest u learn to use it. Well depending if manor lords running properly. Sell thous mats in dion or Giran for max value.
http://lineage2.stratics.com is your friend. Walk thrus on quests u can do. Learn the manor system (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/features/manorsystem). Learn to use the market place and "Buy low and sell high" to make your money grow. Use the seal stones u collect and turn them into products to sell such as Weapon/armor enchants or sell the seal stones and blank scrolls.
Reason we are all pushing u do this on ur own instead of giving u some donation is so u have to learn how survive and make money on ur own. Once u have this down you will really start to enjoy the game cause the revenue u create will enable u to do more as u hunt.
Biggest surprise from this thread is the number of regular posters on these forums that are on Gustin.

I am in no way a tightwad either. I recently ran through the HC and PN dungeons with my 66 glady.
I dropped 100K adena in the middle of every group that I could see was manned and trained every unmentionable group, always erroring on the side of caution.

To the OP: I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. When you're new in a game like this, it's easy to make mistakes. I don't have any toons on Gustin though, so I can't help. :(
Roll another character. Make quests - they are now FAR more worth they were once I started in C1. You get hundreds of healing pots. You get dozens of echo crystals - you know they can be sold for 5k each? You receive SoE to giran - another XXk that is someone willing to pay for that scroll. You get hundreds of shots for your use. There are 2 quests for weapons (Eldritch dagger, blood saber) and armour (Bone or Piece Bone, do not remember). Plenty of NG drops there. Level 1 recipes - there ARE people willing to pay 60k for steel recipe in Giran because they missed opportunity to hunt with their dwarf there. Repeatable quests - for adena there are at least two, and then quests rewarding you per brought pieces are at least two there too. Fishing ...
There is manor ... didyou know you can earn 300k adena in material reward (stems, if you manage to change for varnish, skins/crafted leather) per evening?
I wish I had such opportunities when I started, I am laughing now when I remember running all the way to Gludio and back to buy Willow staff for 45k and Devo set for 2k cheaper than from shop. I know what I'm talking about, I rolled DE wiz and orc mystic few weeks ago (untwinked till they got to mainland for quest), and I even did not have newbie benefits.
I see that price usually in Dion, I know Dion is overpriced, but you know, I buy few echo crystals from time to time just for fun. 5k is not that much for me now, combined with fact when I have time to run somewhere instead of porting I do so.
To OP: last time I found thousands of adena in piles running around Altar of the rites. Just lying there. Also around Gludin (windmill hill, Abandoned camp. Take a look there too.
agree, when I started I always walked. Ports hardly came into factor. I remember running from dion to Giran everynight to set up a shop.
Ports are for the rich, not a neccissary means of travel. Sorry, but reroll and learn some money management skills, you will need them.(and if you are going to sell EVERYTHING, at least keep your weapon.

Well, if scam or not, i would donate something if i would play on his server. We all know how tricky it can be to create a toon. If he is really a new player, i would feel very sad. Playing 5 days, reroll means another 5 days. And u loose ur name, another 7 days of nothing to do. Also, i can support ppl. Im not rich, but not poor aswell. Maybe the storry is true, and he didnt ask for a top weapon, why bother for 50k. I sometimes find places where ppl r kind of broken and dont pick up all stuff. If im in a hurry, i dont waste 5mins to pick it up either (last time outside Goddard there where adena+mats that could equal 50k).
I remeber when i started this game. I was also a DE mage, and i was badly poor. But nice ppl supported me. I once pulled a group of mobs near Gludin and some 40+ player heard me scream and helped me. I didnt ask for money or gear, but he gave me 50k after i told him i just started this game. I myself helped a bit a returning player on TI as i where with my dorf there for the quest (he must be a poor noob, noone really takes the boat if he got money, and he wasnt even in topng like a reroll).
All i can say, even if u dont belive his story, if ur around and maybe have some ng equip left u dont need anymore (i got 7 toons on my account and all r 20+, but still have ng thingies around for the case I delete one >.<) or maybe a bit money, help him. If the story is true, he will be remebering this his whole L2 time :)

Trade with Ivory tower quest, that Imp and Orc killing quest, ad infinitum :) Sounds scary now, eh? I had Willow staff and Devo at level 14 actually back in C1. Used it till like 25 wen I got in clan and received manti (without boots, needed to save for them) and saber*saber.
I do not mind helping newbies, either stuffs (long spear, 4x bronze + 2x top-1 dagger, viper's claw, Mage staff, tons of not-top NG drops while partying on my alts, tons of NG jewelry), or advice. I just ... do not like begging. Call it pride and noblesse or whatever.

Many reasons to never assume what accual gender is by looks of the character. Also there are some weirdos out there, that give false impressions intentionally.

I am going to start using that. It's perfect. And people pretend to be girls because some guys (I didnt want to say losers, but I cant find a better word) often give them things for free. I play female characters but not for that reason :p, just for looks and I really dont like the way male mages and archers look. Hvy melees are alright, but I much rather look at a female character when I play than a fruity looking male.
As far as staying on topic, you didn't really have to come to a forum to ask for advice or help, if you did a shout in game im sure someone would help you. Theres a few nice people who play this game who understand how hard it is in the beginning. (That is if you are honest about it)
To the person who said this was a scam, even though it seems like one (I dont think you can sell your newbie guide weapon) a few thousand adena for ng armor and even a weapon shouldnt be a problem for people who are much higher lvl.
A good quest you should definitely try is the lvl 21 quest you get from the starter villages (go to library->quests). The quest you get in DEV gives you something like 137k adena. But be warned that its not an easy quest because of all the aggro mobs near the quest mob. You should probably find someone to help you with it.
Actually, those bots are more useful than you think. As a mystic, if you nuke them before they finishing killing a mob, chances are good they will log out as soon as its dead, leaving the money behind, you can get free adena this way. I do it with trains of mobs on a dwarf, but you wont be able to train safely as a mystic.

I suppose what you don't really realize yet is that this can be a very cut throat game. People scam all the time. And scamming ingame is perfectly legal. I have seen so many toons in Gludin and gludio who told the story how they were new and their friend signed on and game them money to port but then their friend got DC'd and they had no way to get back so they had to beg.
Of course people would shout "walk" but in their case they just wanted the money.
So though you might be perfectly legit, what you are doing could also very much be a scam. No biggie as there are people who won't help and some who will.
I usually help new players, and at times quite handsomely. However I never really help players who ask for money. Only players who ask questions. I have great respect for new players who want to build somehting on their own. however, knowing that it is hard, I then usually buy them a top NG weapon and some new armor or robes.
I once borrowed 20k from my clan leader to buy a journeyman's staff. I felt so bad I spent the next 2 weeks doing the dark elven quests in order to pay him back.
And of course.. back then there wasn't a manor so I had ng weapon until mid 20's ; )
Agreed! People only believe me I'm a girl when I play a male character. Somehow putting a skirt on my ES turned me male. ;(
And ... hoptowngurl (I cringe just writing that, sheesh), you can't "prove" you're female to anyone on the internet. Joining a vent session comes close but is no replacement, so don't bother - let people think what they will. The more you insist on proving you're female, the more you look like you're not. :p
actually its not a good idea to post own pics in a site as open as this one. and lineage2 is fairly unforgiving to naive people. I guess you'll learn it hard way. to comparison: lineage2 is as ooposite to counterstrike as it gets. it takes lot of time to get things into a movement. if you're expecting things to dissapear on your own accord, you're looking at one big dissapointment. now this is first time i heard someone sold all their stuff for gatekeeper, though there was one clanmate once upon a time... anyway. you can up to seven characters on same server even of the same class. play market a lot and afk during day/night in shops is a good idea. anyway, give a good shot to lineage, but dont expect thing to move fast, cause they dont.

I dont understand this. Why is it found to be so odd that a girl plays a computer game? Why do people have to go through so much to be believed that they arent male and play a game? If you feel the need to proove, that you are female, your battle is lost already. I have met people, who claimed, that a girl in vent was not the player herself, but "his" sister, just joining the vent for a couple minutes for fake prooving.

Personlly I like a person, who is "gender bending" and playing a female toon, claiming to be a female player, but who is male in real life, better, than a person, who admits to be male, playing female toons, whose whole word pool is "buffz plz!" and "rec4buffz!".
On our german gaming network site we just started a series about female gamers... unfortunately for the majority of you, it is in german. When I just take a look at our staff, I know of a bunch of female players, spread throughout all ages of 18-34 and through a variety of different MMOGs, including GuildWars, Lineage2 and World of Smurfcraft.

No, its not hard to believe girls play computer games, my wife does, Ellie does, Gnome does, Jute does and a whole host of other girls/women do. Its only when asking for something it can come into question, since its a rather common trick and Lineage 2 is a very scamfull game.

Oh god like just last night, I logged in my bishop and I was in DE town from being in Dark Omens and I wailed in vent "A grade in noob town" and 2 seconds later I had someone begging for money, with a sob story about killing bots. Overall the game should not be looked as online dating scene, but with tools such as MSN messager and Ventrilo/Teamspeak game has turned into virtual bar scene. Sounds funny but I know its true.
I stated the guy till u have a mic thing because on 2 occastions we had posters putting up procitive posts and flirting and the forums mods called them out. Most guys play it safe with rules like that, others can tell by normal female behavior if to trust them or not. I am not putting down girls or being sexiest, just stating how it is.
I might add, that I too am in a stable relationship with girl I met when I simply asked her for opinion on Gladiator class. To this day I still amazed how I met her and how much she means to me. I will be visiting with her in months time and talk with her every day. I have friends both male and female who are dating around. I have met 2 players who stated they got married to girls they found online. One stated from EQ game where he met his wife before started playing L2. Also unfortunately there is more darker side to it with actions I dont wish to describe.

This turned weird and offtopic, primary objective should be "give fish to hungry man etc." We provide you many good tips to earn adena, come on, stand on your feet, grab weapon, you'll be proud to tell those little stories of getting rich and independent to your grand children :)

For not 'caring', you're trying pretty hard to prove it otherwise. As it already had been pointed out, if you jump a board with "hi, i'm stupid, but i'm female and i need your money' everybody with a half working brain should think of a fake story first. It has been seen more then once in the past, that pretending to be a helpless woman makes cash quite easily. And given the fact that the main audience for online games are male players and the gender specific roles which have been part of mankind for thousands of years this is far from surprising. Besides, people dont really care wether you're really a girl or not, it has nothing to do with the game, since you dont get any bonuses for being a female or a male so why should we care?
If there was a rule like "If you're a female player and lose all your equipment, you can PM GM LadyLuck to get 2mil adena to help you on your way in this male dominated world", well then knowing your sex would have some meaning, but as it is now, it doesnt matter. Unless you were looking for some cyb0r nerd willing to donate adena for a few pictures or a few naughty lines of text ^^
