Ok here is my situation. Im a lvl 64 Sps with avadon for pvp demon PVE and a +5 SOV/acumen. I have no where near enough adena to purchase A grade armor (helmet) or the weapon (SOM with acu). I do have enough to purchase a full set of majestic jewels.
1. Would you keep saving for A grade armor and wep?
2. By a SOM without acumen?
3. By or craft majestic jewels then save for A grade?
4. Sell the +5 SOV/acumen and buy a SOM and Majestiv Jewels?
I have asked my self all these question but still can't decide on what to do. Some advice would be greatley appreciated.
Since you're exactly where I was, I'll give my two cents worth.
There's no real point in saving up for a helmet, its just too unreasonably expensive (120 million give or take depending on the type and if you play on Lionna); so we know that isn't really worth considering.
Now a clean SOM won't be any better than a +5 SOV in terms of raw m attack, thus negating any potential though negligible damage increases. The shots themselves are more expensive yet will yield no increase in damage as the m attack will be about the same, with B BSPS ranging from 250 to 290 adena and A BSPS ranging from 290 to 350. So keeping with the SOV will certainly allow you to save some extra adena because of the cheaper shots.
The majestic jewelery will allow you to grind in the new areas much more safely than before, especially in the Valley of the Saints and Forest of the Dead, where magic using mobs predominates over physical damage type mobs.
Just on raw looks alone, I'd say the SOV at +5 will actually look than a SOM in the hands of a light elf, especially if you are a female spellsinger, as the SOM just looks clunky owing to the particulars of that type of characters animations. If you were to switch you'd notice what I'm talking about.
Conversely, this is reversed for dark elves, who have casting and moving animations where the SOM looks better.
I agree. It seems in your current situation there is really no reason to go for a SoM, other then for looks.
A Robes are nice, but so expensive... well, as you can't afford them I'd say just go for the jewels.
