So we get a TWO hour down period right smack in the middle of especially europeans and many east americans playtime, and for what?
All servers will be down for maintenance Thursday, April 20, at 2:00 PM CST for approximately two hours. During this maintenance period, the following changes will be made:
Miscellaneous
An issue with not being able to enter the Sepulcher of Rulers in Four Sepulchers has been fixed.
An issue with the Hatchlings pet window showing incorrect passive skill information has been fixed.
Damage is no longer reflected from a petrified target.
Various text corrections have been made.
Ok, seriously, were those changes *really* so important that couldn't have waited until tuesday for implementing?
The only "urgent" one is the petrified targets, but level 77+ spectral dancers have been exploiting the system for so long now the few extra days won't really make a difference.
Well that petrified thingy should have been fixed weeks ago, sheesh. It's just like the pet exploit, only done with players and can take even lvl 78 bosses with it. But once again it took weeks and weeks for NC to fix something...
The decision to perform maintenance on the servers is never made lightly. We understand that no one likes downtime, and we only bring down the servers when it is necessary. We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing.
Mis... could you then tell us what in the patchnotes was so important that our primetime was to get kicked in the wallnuts ?
You began to lift the veil .. not lightly.. go ahead.. tell us more...
(** and I only reposted my vent post thinking I haden't submit... Am not that used to see my posts go poof... would customer care be more than a magic word ?)

Without going into too much detail, occasionally patches are a little bit off the weekly maintenance schedule. Rather than waiting for each Tuesday to place it on the servers, we try to plan a maintenance for the best time possible.
You just always manage to place your unexpected downtime right where I have planned playtime, lol, are you spying on me?
You found me out -- that was the best time possible! :p

We understand you are paid to say that, and apologize for not believing you.
Perhaps if every other tuesday didn't pass without a patch but then the following thursday or friday did, we'd have alittle more faith in you. Thank you for playing public relations ][
Took way too long to add the reflect damage fix, why was this not added way back when the pet exploit was fixed. All the exploiters just moved from pets to low level alts + Spectral Dancer :(
Most likely because the fixes aren't being made in North America, they're made in Korea, then fitted and tested for the NA servers by the NA Q&A team.

Is there anyway that you can update the Main page so that it says servers are down when they are. Rite now during maint it has been green lights all the way and that is not true.
Well... this patch just help the raidfarmer to take controll about all raidmobs again and this means.
But the best thing is... the player cannot change anything about it and need to live that...
The only way to help all servers for that is to banned the complete raidfamrer guilds, they destroying the only fun in this game in high lvl area.
THIS need to be the highest priority and not something like that.

No love for the EU customers. :p Actually I'd expect the L2 staff to be geeky enough to sit there watching the maintenance progress at 4am to please their subscribers. I mean come on... it's our play time and we pay for it! We sit at our screens at 4 am too, why can't you? ;)
yeah, because I am sure your server was overrun by spectral dancers and so on doing all the raidbosses and because of that it was darn urgent for you to get the patch a few days early despite this having been going on for quite a long time now, heh.

and if it was announced that the live servers are going to be down for raid boss management then all of the exploiters would be out hustling with a new scense of ergency & (possiblly) the pertification would have to be called an exploite b/c there would be a publically anounced fix for it and then the exploiters would continue to do it until the fix was inplace THEN the other part of the player base would make demands for the heads of the expliters on a platter (read: banned) AND THEN the exploiters would make deamnds to say that they had been doing it since Jan and never been told it was an exploit . . .
That's how I read it, less drama if they just fix it when they can. BTW, the PTS was fixed with this Tuesday, I guess NCSoft wanted to use the PTS to test what they had done and to make sure that they could not find anything else that might happen with what ever they did to fix the issue. As soon as it was verified to be fixed then why wiat to implement the fix? It could be consided by yet other players inconsiderate for NCSoft to NOT fix the problem as soon as there was a verified and tested fix.
