Hello all, I just started my account on this server and was wondering if there is any advice to give to a new arrival on Lionna?
I am looking for some new friends or even a guild/clan to join.
First off what race and class are you playing, that'll help people who want to help you in their efforts.
Second most of the player base is at least level 50 so don't be discouraged when you don't see a lot of people. Around lvl 20 you can start hunting out of dion, the first well populated town.
As to a clan, wait a few levels. There are some clans who recuit newbies but most like to wait till you're a bit set in your path. Otherwise welcome to L2.

I to am new to this server and to the game!
I was a Guild leader (Well still am) of one of the first guilds on the RFO servers (Rising Force Online).
Game is dieing around me and my guild so we are trying out other games.
L2 so far seems like alot of fun!
Same play style (Kinda) as RFO but with alot more depth and things to do!
If you need someone to adventure / lvl with then hit me up ^_^.

I am Whylu, a orc fighter currently. Ill be online most of today. I appreciate the welcome! Yes, I have considered that most of the places are barren till 20...but im good at getting up to 25 at least solo.
When you reach your 20's, you'll find that in Gludio, the town is also pretty dead, but Gludin has a nice population. But do go to Gludio for Guard Curtis' quest. And Gludin has one in the South from a man called Leopold. Both will serve you nicely. :) Leopold's especially.
Best advice? Throughout this forum site Jute has posted frequently asked newbie question answers. Read those.
Also, be nice to folks as possible. Don't respond to pvp invitations unless you don't care about losing exp (until you appreciate more of the game).
Don't sell the mats you find from mobs (put them ALL in WH).
Don't party till you hit that lvl 25 u mentioned and then experiment a bit.
Always spend your adena on a better weapon before armor.
Ignore 80% of Lionna forums posts about "chaos and invincible".
Don't join any clan till you have played a lot more.
ENJOY EACH LEVEL YOU ARE AT!!!!! If you begin to chase "lvl 30" and that is all you focus on, you can miss experiences along the way (particularly when you find that little changes at lvl 30...lol).
You'll need A LOT (more than a lot) of adena to do class change quests (particularly 2nd class change) and to get to C-grade gear around lvl 40. Save all you can now. Hunt green and light blue mobs without soulshot and without millions of healing potions--both can become addicting.
Oh--there are many, many, many cool players on Lionna. I've always been glad I picked it (by accident). Interact, chat, tease, laugh--others will too.
I could explain each of those but you don't want to read that much.

Thats some good advice...it will take some time to decypher once I learn more about gameplay at higher levels.
I found Giran, and got dropped...heheh first time there and got lagged out...theres alot of people there! Lots of shops too, so i think ill work on getting adena and figuring out who to trust.

Definately will check out those websites. I am certainly interested in joining up with the rpers around, I enjoy writing/playing scenarios. Unfortunately, I still have alot to learn about the background/ethos of the world.
