Are there any penalties for equipping weapons/armor that is higher level than you? like sending lvl 20+ items to an alt that is just lvl 9? Assuming it's a grade/type they can equip.
So, if you are lvl 9 you can equip any no grade item. There will be a penalty for equipping D grade or higher though. That penalty can be serious redection in speed, missing attacks, spell failure or whatever.
