i'm leveling a buffer now.
And i saw many buffers, running around with duals.
What's the upside/downside for this class using these weapons ?
Or should i have two weapons (staff and duals ?)
There's no advantage for a boxed buffer to use duals. Unless it helps you kill.
You'd be better off giving it an acumen or mana up weapon, depending on your needs.
Depends on what your becoming my level 40 Human Battle Prophet is currently using heavy Full Plate armour with CG Duals Raids*Spirits c/w Focus! The reason behind me using Duals is for damage when your in a raid you get to buff/heal/attack basically when the groups health is full and you don't need to heal or buff you grab some SS and help the group by attacking the RB of course your main purpose is to heal and buff so make sure that always comes first but people appreicate it when a healer/buffer is helping out instead of just standing or sitting there waiting for mp to regenerate or waiting to heal someone! Also Healers can't solo very well on their own unless it's undead you are killing BUT with Duals you have a much easier time to solo you root/sleep target then attack them with your duals and use your mp to heal yourself if needed! I love my Prophet for being able to do so and it makes life much easier for her :) the only DOWN SIDE is that with duals and heavy gear it's a bit harder on your mp you don't have as much unless your using robes so it's basically your choice BUT Buffers can't usually buff a full group of people anyways! So don't be upset if someone yells at you for your mp running out just sleep them or root them that might shut them up and be happy buffers/healers are a hard group to play but they are important and almost always needed :) GOOD LUCK!!!
