As you can see the new owner of Giran only intend to tax you as much as possible for the few time they will own the castle. Their tax rate is at 15% while under mirage it was barely 4-7%.
Gludio tax has been set to 0% so that people can put an alt there and buy their soul ore/spirit ore, crist d, and gem d item without having to support the actual despote tax in Giran. We'll try to see what we can do in the other town.
enjoy the low tax :)
tax rate in innadril is at 5%, so people may want to compare the price with Giran too, it might be cheaper.
You forgot to mention the despotic tax rates of Aden, Oren, Dion and Goddard castles, all at 15%.
Tool.
lol! re-read tool! the post says giran, and not aden. we all know aden has always been at 15%. the point of this post is...new owner raised tax to 15% while previous owner held it at 5-7%.

need hook-on-phonic?
D:
The post was meant to throw mud at the tax rate of Giran. Yet they fail to mention the tax rates of other towns.
You only look as far as you want to see. But it doesn't mean the logic isn't there. Invin has max taxes as well. Even if you want to pretend it doesn't, or that Giran is more important. Aden castle name ring a bell?

better go back and check the tax again there bud, mirage had going back a forth from 10% to 15% for Grian
tax rates are somewhat self-limiting in-game as they are in real life. The exception would be if invincible and chaos COOPERATED on setting universal taxes.
As long as they don't, someone running an area will figure out it's better to get 7% of LOTS of sales than it is to get 15% of LESS sales.
When a city or county in US raises taxes to "increase their revenue"--same thing happens. Folks who are able move to outlying areas and make other decisions---money flowing into that city or county actually goes DOWN.
If Giran stays high...folks will buy in other places and in the game economy, players will exploit it.
The higher the taxes in ONE location, the more opportunity for other castle owners and for individual players.
LMAO--I hope Giran sells SOE's for 600a and Haste Potions for 2800a! They would REALLY oblige me by raising taxes to 40 or 50%! Then I'll make a killing selling IN THEIR GROCERY STORE!

blah blah blah with the PR and propaganda, do you actually own a castle to come and preach about tax rates?. Anyone capable of capturing a castle has the right to set the tax at whatever they see fit, doing it is choice.

Hmm... let's see, I could waste my time buying stuff in Gludio or even Innadril, but why should I when I can easily go to Rune and buy stuff for the same price? Plus the happy fact that I'm not supporting any alliance at all when purchasing there.
You're also failing to mention the fact that Giran has not been 5-7% in a long time. Yeah, it was that for the first few months, but for the last few months it's been around 10%.

What you fail to see is that it won't matter in 7 days because Chaos will win strife and all taxes will be maxed at 5%. Trash us all you want but in 1 week Chaos will bring a new low in prices.
