The best attire u can use for the BD is Doom heavy. BDs dont need strength to over come mobs. You need the dex for the accuracy and evvasion points. Dont go for BW, that armor is for glads and destroyers. BW also will drop ur HP, which DE's dont have alot of it to begin with, so to lose hp's for ur BD isnt smart. As for duels always go for top grade so duel SLS could be it, but if u can afford those duels get something thats affordable or just keep ur duels from Cg depending if its overenchanted and by how much.
If you are tanking a lot then yes, Doom Heavy is the way to go. But, if you're tanking for small parties then every bit of extra damage is a good thing so you want Blue Wolf. If you hardly ever tank and only play in large parties then there's zero benefit to Doom and you again want Blue wolf for the extra damage.
As for the duals, while in B grade, your ideal duals are SLS*Tsurugi (Focus). SLS*SLS will make your dances faster but you'll spend more in SS than you would with Focus duals and do less damage. If you only play in larger parties where your damage isn't a big factor, go with Health duals like Spirit*Spirit (Cgrade w/ Health). They're cheap and will give you plenty of HP.

Wow, you know absolutely nothing about playing a BD, or any other melee class for that matter. SLS*SLS have a haste SA, SLS*TSU have Focus, which is much better at B grade, since there are no stacking haste armours.
You are obviously talking about PvE, so why are you advising Doom? The extra damage from BW means you take LESS damage if you have VR, which you will have 95% of the time. In PvE damage is everything, a few extra HP mean nothing.
Of course, PvP is a different story, but at level 57, PvP isnt an option anyway.
For weapons I would definitely go with the tsu*sls. The criticals end up making a world of difference. I've been using them since B grade up to my current level 68. As far as PVE I prefer oe'ed TSU*SLS to the a grade duals [and they're more affordable anyway].
At your level I was an odd duck in that all I could afford at the time was Zubei...which I didn't love all that much. Doom or BW are much better choices...Personally I would've went with Doom if I had a choice, but alot of other bd told me I would be wrong and should go with Blue wolf. So, ultimately it depends on wether or not you want the extra con/hp from doom, or you want the extra dmg from BW [this takes away from the added crit of the tsu*sls also because of the -dex, but you'll still be ahead].
Anyway, it becomes easier at a grade when they all get tallum anyway.
How in blue blazes are you guys/gals able to get them past +4!? The prospect of blowing them boggles my mind!
Basically, knowing that you have the funds to replace them is the key. I used to blow up my main hand weapons frequently when I was manoring intensely and was set until 52, which I didn't think I'd ever reach.
Nowadays, I'd rather invest the money into armour for alts or rerolls. :3
Because, unless you're a nuker or possibly an archer, at level 57 everything will own you three different ways because it's several levels and possibly a whole grade higher than you.
In PvP, opinions vary - mostly from server to server. You might want to ask for that particular advice on your server, from people who knows how PvP runs there.
doom light and sls*tsu for pve. If anybody tells you differently, they don't know how to play a bd.
You get my vote for the boldest assertion on record. I used the Plate Leather Set for my BD at C grade, so all I can say is anything is possible.
If we're talking strictly PVE, it doesn't really matter what heavy armor you get. Some are less relevant, like Avadon, since you'll never use a shield and don't need the % block increase. But if all you can afford is Avadon, I can assure you of at least one person that I know who has made it safely to A grade in this armor without dying once. I can also share experiences of BD's that used Zubei, BW and Doom to level to 61+and have done so without dying once. Yes, efficiently . B grade is no longer the top of the food chain, so don't be so surprised to hear that you can level without much worries...PVE.
That said, I'm using BW now for my BD. I solo more than I group, and I can't see reducing my strength by -3 as with Doom Heavy. BW gives you +3 str, but reduces your dex just a bit. You don't miss it.
Ok so thats PVE which is all good but I was wondering what o use for PVP? I was told that BD's aren' that good but I want to try it out anyways for my own knowledge so I was told to get a bow and use a bow for PVP? is that true and if so what Bow should I get? and what armour should I be using for PVP still BW?
Ok thanks a ton so I'm going top take a wild guess here and think zubei or that other one heh! Thanks again if you got any idea's of the idea I should use just let me know :)
Doom Heavy is the B grade BD PvP armour. A BD gets less use out of Zubei than say a tank, since we get no 40+ armour masteries, and so get less benifit from the % armour increase. But Doom adds a nice chunk of HP.
Ok thanks just one quick question can you get SA on bows? and if so does each bow come with certain SA's? or like if I was interested in getting Eminence Bow anything special SA with it?
If you are only using it for PvP think about something like Crit Bleed. If you plan on using it for PvE, use Cheap Shot, to save mana. I dont know which bows have which SA's, so you'll have to check yourself. ;)
well... pvp is tuff... for arena pvp I don't know or care...
fo siege pvp and b-grade... I'd keep useing doom light if you have a bow... stand in the back and put dances up when they come in... odds are the pvp will be over in 2 minutes anyway... although if you want to last a little longer, go with bw for pvp. some bds will scream about hp hp hp... that's all bs imo. NOBODY that has any pvp skills at all will target a bd first. And by the time the bd gets targeted... the pvp is over and all the hp in the world wont save you...
HOWEVER c5 will change pvp... it sounds like bds are going to get a good aoe debuff... if it is like pbd then suicide bd runs might be a common tactic makeing hp > damage. As it is now... hp > damage only when you are 77 doing the para dance... before that just stay in the back dancing before -_- starts and then try to ninja a healer or two.
Ok so basically a BD sucks at PVP lol ok thanks for that advice I guess lol I was hoping someone might of had some luck pvping with a BD but I guess not so thanks again!

Small correction: Armour masteries are a fixed value applied after buffs and set bonuses. Thus, you get the same advantage as a tank.
well bds don't suck at pvp... in fact they are necessary for it. They aren't great at 1v1. They can do some heavy damage real fast, but there is no good way to max hp and make them a good dd.
A bd with focus duals full buffs and doom light will tear through a mage or archer like they weren't there. If the mage or archer targets them, they are dead. In 1v1 and arena you are going to have to ask somebody else about bd setup, I don't play there. Others do and I'm sure they have good ways to make a bd strong in 1v1. I just know about mass pvp and ganking as a bd.
Thanks a ton I need that little bit of a boost LOL at least I might get a chance to ry out PVP and see if I can do decent! I've been told to go either Doom or BW for pvp I thought Doom would work more b/c it gives more HP BUT BW gives more damage right? So all those PVP people out there in the arena what is more important HP or Damage? and I just wanted to ask what GANK means? LOL is it someone who runs around outside of towns and kills just random people?

kind of... When 2 clans are at war, Killing 1-5 man parties with 9+ people is considered a gank. Also if a 9 man party is xping and a 4 man party comes and kills them that is also ganking since they were xping and not ready for pvp. Gank pvp is pvping whenever the otherside isn't ready. IT is what 90% of pvp is in clan wars. Everybody does it and everybody complains about it.
Well I don't know about ganking I've never tried it before but I do know that I want the best for my BD and I think o matter what people say that I can probably get her to pvp and do a decent job a it :) maybe not be as easy as to pvp with a nuker but if I can get close they are probably gone :) Especially in my BG stuff

BD's are excellent for their intended role. If you're expecting to charge a mage or an archer at range and win, well, good night and good luck to you! If you think you can go toe to toe with a Tyrant, an SK and in some cases a TK within 3 levels of yourself, well good night and good luck to you! Learn to pick your spots.
PVP you are going to go Doom Heavy. Your roll in PVP, i.e., group PVP, is to stay alive longer so that your dances can assist your allies. A friend of mine even keeps his old C grade health duals around (although they are highly enchanted) for PVP.
1 vs 1 pvp -- is this ever something that a person really plans to do in advance? Every encounter I've ever had involved either a red, an obnoxious gamer training me, or some other player and I disagreeing about hunting territory. In those cases you fight with whatever armor you are wearing. No point in going out and buying Doom Heavy and keeping it in your inventory just for the rare instance that you find yourself at odds with another gamer.
For the bow, I suggest a BOP/CS. Craft it, don't buy it, since it's usually cheaper to do so and it's not your primary weapon.

I admire the spirit...but let's not get carried away. No matter how close you get to a nuker, you're in for the fight of your life. Unless the nuker happens to be wearing Demon Robes and doesn't have an OE acumen weapon. Or you happen to be fighting a nuker who powerleveled his/her way to 52+ and doesn't know how to use all of the awesome skills at their command. :D
Don't be discouraged. BD's can be very effective in PVP...even if it means that you're not always the last man standing. There is a reason why most ppl insist on having a BD around for group play. Learn the value of your role and honor it.
Don't be discouraged. The challenge is what makes it fun!
As others have said, PVP should be the least of your worries right now. You should focus on XPing. With so many level 70+ players on every server, your hopes of staying upright in group PVP is really a pipe dream at this point. Go level! :)
Well I guess I'm not going to worry about her for now BUT I was curious b/c I am in my BG stuff and I thought she would be decent at pvping at her level right now!
Don't measure your achievements in PvP by 1v1 is all I can say - between an archer group with and without a BD, the outcome is usually fairly obvious. Actually, the same goes for nukers.
BDs have awesome buffs, and are one of the strongest support type classes around - In their class, outdone in direct PvP involvement as an aggressor only by orc mages, IMHO.
