This is ridicules. I am new and I cannot get any good weapons. The grind is horrible blah blah blah. :mad: :(
The real problem is this memory leak. I opened up a private store and leave the computer on over night. Next morning, L2 crashed, I get an error message saying I don’t have enough memory, and I have 2 gigs of ram all of them in usage. Anyone else have this problem? Should I just hike up the virtual mem or something?
Yeah the grind is rough butbut the memory leak. I know that it's a problem but i'm running an inferior system to yours ( at least ram wise) and i can leave myself logged in for 3 days.
If i try and hunt towards the end i can have some problems but not usually.
to things I do to combat that problem. alt+p to lower resolution and alt+enter to go into windows mode and minimize the window. Since I started doing that while AFK selling I haven't had any crashes.
you really can't do much beyond 4096 initial and 4096 maximum... and spanning it across (i maxed out at 10 partitions so .. 40960mb of virtual swap space)..
Problem is.. Lineage2 can only address a total of 2.6GB of ram/vitural memory combined.... Soon as it hits that.. it crashes gauranteed... and even then, sometimes it varies from the normal running operation of 300-400mb up to the crash point.. and will crash anywhere between for no reason at all.
it's like it's forgetting to unload unnessary stuff while running..
frankly on my one system.... if l2 had a native x64 client.. i could probably make use of the 8gb of ram available... load the entire **** game into the ram and go lol... and even then it would probably complain.
