Magic Critical Damage/Rate

Hi, some buffers that have buffed me (a to be spellhowler)
keeps giving me focus. i am woundering if this actully does increse ur magic critical rate, as they say it does...

I am very doubtfull about this and was woundering if anybody else have experianced this fenomenon.
No it doesnt.
Only 'Wild Magic' for Shilen Elders and Elven Elders does.
There's also a Spectral Dancer buff that does, AFAIK.

But then, by the time you're getting spectral dancer buffs, you'd have figured it out yourself I guess. :D

And yup, it doesn't. Tell them to leave your buff bar alone and wait until they get high enough level to give you proper magic crit buffs. :p
focus does bc its a plural form of criticals'S"S"S

i alwas have focus on me and without wildmagic and with focus i get about 5 magic crtics every buff round
Then kindly test it without focus - it has no impact whatsoever on magical criticals, or the SF dirk and HF knife would be a lot more popular, and a SwS would sit in every mage group.
its like all things in l2 it does but its just so small

like i said 20 mins i get 5 magic crtics and without focus in 20 mins i get around 2 or 3 ive seen

the reason why those wepons are not popular bc everyone goes for acumen

No, it doesnt, or else they wouldnt have added Wild Magic... ;)
i know but you got to ask your self its a korean game it dont make sense at times but i know it helps.
Here is the two buff comparisons directly from Lineage 2 website (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/XcaelumdeaX/duh.jpg)
check it for yourself. Focus is for physical crit rate...wild magic is for magic crit rates. Im glad you are a mage who loves focus...let me guess...you also like Might and Death Whisper as well..? Might wanna start considering a melee class as the class thats more suited for ya.
lol due wild magic is just for magic crit rate
while focus is for both critc rates get it?
Dude... no.
The focus description hails from a time when there were no magic crits - if you do an extended test under equal circumstances, you will find that magic crit rate is not increased by focus.

That number of 5 versus 2-3 sounds like a one-time occurance. :p
it alwas does that >_<
LOL at this thread tbh.

Go go go Song of Hunter! - "Temporarily increases party members' critical rate. Continuous singing consumes additional MP."
it never says what critical thought >_<

One time I got Wind Walk and then got 2 crits in a row. Wind Walk makes me crit every time. Its true.
:D well if could of inteneded not to make it into the code but it just got there ?
The Elpies coded it in?

EDIT: When Focus was coded there was no such thing as magic crits. There is no way it can affect them. None. Zero.
yeah but if there was no such thing they hade to go back into it and change it right? and make a new thing for magic crtics based on the crit rate huh?
No, a Magic Crit and a Physical Crit are completely different things. They will have different ID's in the code.
.

lol i quit ill take my focus and my SwS in my nuker group and you can take this door *OPENS DORR* ok now everyone happy ^.^

brunch still on?
waste of space in your party and on your buff bar...GG
Why not invest in a dark screamer with focus? That's gonna rock :p

How many times have you done this? Did you do it enough times to have a statistically significant sample? I bet not. Wild magic is clearly for magic. If focus affects magic criticals and physical criticals, why do nukers get an extra buff just for them?

happens every buff round k thx
I stand by my reasoning that wind walk also makes me crit every time.

But on another note... When I was leveling my (now deleted) elven nuker (dont laugh, I dont know what I was thinking... Elven scum...) I was getting 2-3 crits every buff round too, and that had nothing to do with buffs.
Exactly 5 crits every buff round? :p

You should buy an SoES: Focus.
i hade a good anology then i lost it twice >.<
