I am wondering if it is weird for somebody to enchant a weapon from +3 to +9 in one day, rather, in about three hours. Am I just very lucky or something?
Ohh, and by the way, I am very happy with my deep blue glowing Staff of Life! Must be worth a lot more now too, right?
There are no rules other than a 66% chance every time you attempt to enchant, so whether you do it over a few years or in ten minutes does not matter at all.
Do you think I shouold stop at +9? That's probably good enough for a first enchated weapon, right? I am pretty afraid to go beyod the +9, but I do have to say it iwas quite a rush evry time I did do it succesfully though!
i personally am too afraid on being left with a fist of crystals... i'not enchanting anything over +3 anymore :P
i prefer to safely add focus on my current weapon ^^;
but if you feel you want to try... be sure you can afford a new weapon BEFORE over enc your again... the crystals won't cover the full loss even of the +0 weapon (AFAIK)

belnor: +9 SOL sells about 12-14m on my server. enough to buy you +0 no SA top C ghoul staff. or +0 no sa Homu. for some dam reason them homu's are all overpriced. (homu not top c, mid c.)
I've had NO luck with C grade OEing, but I've done fine with B and D grade. I've done 6 Staff of Life to +7 or better(+10 being best) and a +8 Heavy War Axe(cheaper than AOBA, still gets Health, so its less painful to explode). I blew up 7 DS, best being at +5, finally gave up and bought a +3 Ghoul for 7m(ty for misprice).
I'd still say to keep going until you blow it up, just so you don't go blowing up more valueable weapons later.

Just go for it. Go for Red. You might be lucky and enchant your self a +16 wep. If not .... well .... you got a bunch of crys and atleast you'll appreciate the value of ench wep more then ever.
Then again, some appear to have plenty resources to get them selfs full top equiped the minute the reach the next grade. So if you are one of those, go for it and ench your wep all the way up.
tru. i have had an acumen, and a conversion homu cos i bought mid c at the correct price and played it smartly, but i am sure he doesnt want to pay the greatly exaggerated prices for one, so why not let him get the top c instead :)

How much adena do you have? If you are resilient enough to break it without suffering a major setback, then sure, go for +10. If not, stick with the safe approach.
The safe approach is to leave it at +9, level to 40, then sell it for 14-17M adena. Use the adena to purchase a homu (go the luxury shop-trade with BS Mammon route), SA and C grade robes.
Don't worry. You'll have plenty of other chances to overenchant/blow up weapons and armor. I think it's important, though, to be smart about it. Make your adena first until you've made enough to take such risks routinely.

Yes, this is the way to go. Buy an item from the Giran Lux Shoppe that has the same crystal value as the Homu and exchange it with BS Mammon (e.g., a Dark Screamer). 1075 C crystals & 5075 D crystals should cost you less than 7M adena.
