Hey guys my Prophet currently hit 41 and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen or battled a Prophet and if they have won? B/c I want to see how my Prophet would do in PVP I was thinking of different techniques? Like get her a bow then buff her then root then shoot away? Any idea's on if that would work or if I got no chance? LOL
LOL I bet you it could work since I have root and sleep I'll sleep you then root ya (depending on what you are) then I'll shoot you to death LOL since bows have such high attack rating and my prophet has awesome buffs I think the two toegther would make a good combination! Sounds good lol k but what kinda bow? like I could attempt to get the Eminence Bow but if I want SA I gotta get it +8 which would be nice OR I could go for the Noble Elven Bow with the SA which only needs to be +6 but I see the Eminence Bow sold a lot more and both those bows have Cheap Shot SA which will reduce my MP Consumption by 46% which is good! So keep your eyes open for a Eminence Bow it's the best CG Bow does the most damage and I need the +8 to get the SA kk
Yeah, it doesn't have to be enchanted.. Youll need a lvl 8 blue soul crystal for cheap shot, a decent number of c gemstones and some money.. Talk to the dwarf in the blacksmith shop in giran, he'll tell you what you need..
Ok sounds good thanks once I've got it enchanted and an SA on it then we can head out and figh in the arena kk! Since I can't use sleep or root on you anywhere else LOL You will still probably kick my butt since your one hit takes half my CP and it takes me about 3 hits to take your CP lol but we can still try it out :)

See, I have this thing agains ppl using a bow, they almost always manage to interrupt my casting.. :/
YAY so hopefully I'll interrupt your casting them hehe BUT the thing is Bows give slow casting speed heh! and your also I think 9 levels higher then me so either way I don't have haste or increase MP or HP YET but once I do watch out lol ;)
1 was against a sps think i was lvl 62 or somting then and he was the same lvl. My root landed and then i used my tallum pole. Was just pure luck but hay i won ^^
Well if you have fullbuffs you will have a good chance against healers/buffers and even some nukers. Good gear is a must. I have 900+ M.Def with my own buffs then. We are not the best pvp class :) but we can do some dmg and take some to if we want to ^^
Btw my pvp score is 5pks(its now 0) and 12pvps

Thts a little scary LOL "see you in game" depends on when your on? now he's going to be looking for me hehe JK anyways thanks for the advice I know Prophets aren't the best PVP but come on full buffs and a great bow with SA and over 1400MP & pver 1000HP we gotta be able to do something besides just buff and heal and sit down LOL Well I'm going to try pvping with my clan for a bit first to get use to it and see what I can and can't do and then do from there make sure to pm me if you want to try it out? lol thanks for all the advice guys :)
Im not scary at all, im a nice guy and i buff who i want when i want. I have even buffed enemys of my ally and clan. I try to help new players if i have the time and stuff. Think i have helpt atleast 4-6 ppl with the first jobb quest and other stuff ^^.
Bow is not bad to use if you critt you do alot of dmg but the down side is that bows are slow and drain your mana.
I would go with duals or a polearm, root and then do your thing :) I would go with a pole for some solo xp and stuff and for pvp some good duals +4 so you get the xtra speed.

I was joking when I said scary LOL I know of course your not scary but anyways I agree a bow does good damage but they are two slow :( I had duals that were +5 Raids*focus which did good damage but I found them slow as well which I guess will be my best weapon to use thou as a Prophet that wants to try pvping heh!
If you get anny extra adena you can buy a heavy armor set 2 and you will be a mini tank or somting :) I have my BW robe and BW heavy now (thx to a friend), its realy funny to go solo and you dont need to heal every 10seconds cuz your pdef sucks :)
Where the road lead us i cant say but i think it will be fun if not i will quit. Play for fun cuz its a game noting more.
My prophet is in BW heavy, +4tus*sls duals and a +4Str - 4 con tattoo. When I have fun at arena and I play againts nukers my lvl I can normally hold my own. It always ends up being really close. If they are 10 or more lvls under I normally win.
With fighter classes its a toughy since I dont have a bow. Always loose against dwarves and orcs my lvl cause they just have too much hp. For the rest I normaly wack em as much as I can, when hp is too low: root, back up and battle heal myslef, and go back to fight. If root lands I win, if not I loose. If I had abow it would probably be alot easier.
Against tanks... well... um its pointless. Oh and if the person is higher lvl I never win... unless they are a healer ;P
Ok thats helps me out a lot I currently have that same tattoo as well as another and I'm in CG at the moment I have full plated leather gear I use and a +5 Em bow but the thing is it's sometimes hard to fight someone my level because the arena is always packed with basic overpowered level 65+ which makes it difficult at times heh! So do you think I would have a better chance at sticking with my bow or get duals?
I understand you oh so well ^_^ Its hard to find someone your lvl to try pvp 1vs1 at arena without interfearance...
As for bow vs. duals... well in a perfect world you would have both... and in a perfect world you couldnt drop your unequiped weapon.... but you can :( So I have chosen to stick to 1. (not important at arena cause you cant drop anything... but in the real world of linage 2, when its time to defend your turf and pvp its a risk you must be willing to take)
Bows offer the option to root and kill at distance assuming your victim doesnt have any range attacks. Again life isnt perfect and your victim wont always be helpless. With a bow againt a class with a range attack since you dont have any bow skills/masteries... well your better off with a duals... Frankly Ive never seen a prophet with a bow win against a SH... or god forbid an archer ! Since you cant always have the perfect oponent to kill I would suggest sticking to duals.
for Pve I prefer duals 100%. Im not a range type of person... I like to get right into the action up close and personal. With heavy armor and a pair of good duals (with hopefully VR) a prophet can tank pretty darn good.
My opinion: go duals ftw! ^_^ I just love my duals.... lol. A bow can only be used effectively in some circumstances againt some classes.

Isn't dark Screamer a dagger? Which would work because then it would give fast attack cuz daggers are faster & Focus would give the critical.. Should I use a shield? or does the shield affect the speed at all? & wouldn't the duels do more damage?

Im in B grade so I use BW heavy... I skipped C grade completly >< cant help you out there.
For SA I would 100% go with the Focus

Me and my friends had this complicated formula... but suffice to say since you a prophet (with haste) and you have DW... that extra speed is worth **** for you.

Btw.... pvp might be difficult for you atm even if you have good equip. A prophet really shines when you hit 52 or 56 and you get higher lvls of those awsome fighter buffs. They make all the difference. I did not start to pvp until lvl 52.

Yes the Dark Screamer is a C grade dagger...
Yes daggers increase crits and speed...... (thats why we have buffs)..... BUT and ill repeat BUT! they also reduce you accuracy... alot. And for a healer class its VERY noticeable. I just went out with my prphet and tested it with my friends dagger. The mobs that I normally hunt with duals (white - and I rarely miss) Im missing like crazy now. Havnt tried it in pvp but I think its safe to say the results would be similar.
Edit: I looked around and there is a prophet on my server (Hind) thats called Nya and she uses a bow. Shes 75+ and a hero. I would assume she has tatoos to help. But if your still maby considering a bow create a toon on Hind and e-mail her ;)
Well I was currently using a CG bow +5 Em but I gave it up and I'm looking at going back to duels. My problem at my level was the bow was doing good damage but it wasn't hitting the target as much out of 20 shots it maybe hit the target like 30% of the time every other time I missed. But when I had duels I had Focus on them and it was great I was hitting and doing decent damage also I was using increase attack spd pots so I was moving faster and hitting more crits! I'm basically looking at duels again for now and then when I get higher up I'll probably switch to a bow! Thanks for the help guys anymore info you've got for my Prophet just let me know I'll take as much as I can get :D
yeah, Im a lvl 56 destroyer and usually you have to be at least 10 level above me to beat me. I mean I beat AG all the time in the arena and out but for some freak reason a lvl 66 Prophet kicked my *** last week in the pvp arena. She just did magic and ran and did more magic and ran and just wore me down; ALL 5000hp of me. :mad:I got some hits in, and it was funny, us runnin around, cause mages are not much faster than orcs. I was all buffed up too from the clan hall buffs, so i had the best of both worlds but :eek: somehow she won. She Just kept runnin around and kiting and she didnt sleep me. She did just about everything else though. It was 1-1 no interference form anyone else. YOu CAN ask people to respect that and they usually do in my experience. My clan leader is a lvl 74 Prophet and a badass she carrys a 2 handed sword. SOooo theres the story. Just carry a good weapon and kite it. I was humiliated and all the other orcs laughed at me back at the village :confused: Ill never PVP again :( *sniffles*
awwww.. ya thats sad when you get your *** kicked by a Prophet heh! Anyways do you remember what magic skill she was using or what it looked like? and do you know if your clan leader pvp's with that huge sword? I'm currently now using duels but at my level I still don't think I will be very good at pvping. I probably gotta have to wait till I'm at least 55 or 56!
Lol I was discussing the hole 2 handed swords for a prophet with my Bf yesterday... according to him they end up being equal to duals or maby a bit better;)
Let me explain:
Over enchanted C grade Beserker blade with Focus (about +7 or +8) more or less equal to those Tsu*sls we were talking about. It might look like your hitting faster with duals.. but remember duals have 2 blades and the damage is "split" in half. Damage wise it comes down to the same.
One advantage of the two handed sowrd is that if you miss you dont use a SS. On the duals you can miss with 1 blade, hit with other (half damage) and still use a SS.
I prefer the look of duals...

Except maby the SS cost ? (beserker sword x3 CSS - B duals 1 BSS)
Ya I guess that makes a big difference I'v been told that it's useless to level a Prophet past 65 because they get there main skills basically at 44 then everything else is just upgrades. I was wondering If haste skill & haste pots give the same or if the spell is a bit better then the pot? (before I would get haste2 thou)
It useless to lvl a prophet past 56 if your ONLY going to use it as a 2box... but some of us enjoy the prophet playstyle.. and its deffinatly worth lvling it up more ^_^

According to the latest C5 translations from korea the weapon penalty for mages only is for bows and polearms... no mention of duals

Didn't really like how the accurancy and how slow it shoots for me anyways :D *YAY* Ya I enjoy my Prophet especially if she's in a good clan with members who are willing to level together! Maby true but its not so easy to get a berseker sword to +7 or +8 and its not so easy to make a pair of B duals to +4 i faild 2 so far :confused:, and the duals do as you say split the dmg so if you miss one and hit the other you do half dmg. But you can crit both and then you do alot more, its just luck or unluck duno :)

Lol thats why you find a cheap emi bow +7 or +8 and convert it to a beserker sword at mammon :) that how my freinds got theirs
Wait... Tiffy you got an emi bow ! I completly forgot until now...
If you dont mid the damage it does but just hate the accuracy.. convert it for free at mammon for a beserker sword. The +5 will stay but any SA goes buy buy. When you want to upgrade to something better you can leav it as a beserker or xfer it back to emi for sell... whatever works best
Ya my friend is using my Emi right now so I'm not going to touch it but I tried duels I bough a cheap pair converted them from mammon then tried to enchant them to 4 and they blew up LOL so instead at the moment I'm using a dark screamer dagger +5 that gives critical of 81 and I haven't tried it out yet.. but I'm hoping it will do the trick for now till I hit BG :D
