LineageII Virgin to Lionna

Lionna Started Last reply 19 posts
Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hi! I'm brand new to Lineage II and created my first toon on Lionna server. My character's name is Niriad and she just hit level 10 as a Fighter today ^^ Hope to be a Silver Ranger in the future ^v^ Feel free to say hello if you like, I'm always up for new friends!
Welcome to server and game!
Lot's of nice folks on Lionna.
My toons closer to starter areas all have the root "Drakkos"-something or other in the name.
PM or shout anytime :)

*still a noob---but as an 'experienced' noob I now screw up in really big and impressive ways*
Yeah, I've met some really nice people so far. 1 person gave me the Wooden no grade set and the other gave me a Forest Bow. People seem really nice, however I've only really seen like 4 or 5 other people in the 2 days of gameplay :D

Don't worry, you won't interract with many people until you get to some higher level areas, but it will happen. Feel free to pm me sometime if you have any questions or just wanna say hello!

If you're interested in RP or non-RP I can point you to some other very nice people to hook up with, also.

Welcome and have fun! :)
Welcome =)

You choose the right server!
Hope you will enjoy it, be patient with the newbie areas. They are very unpopulated with the real thing so to speak...

Cya around
There are almost no real people in starter areas--other than experienced players starting an alt. Often those folks can be a bit stand-off-ish at times.
You'll see folks in Gludin of course--quite a number. Nicer mix of 'real' people and experienced players for one reason or another.
Gludio on our server is a "pass through" village with some good quests but not a lot of human players.
Dion is the next place you'll get to (lvl 25 or so I'd guess) where real people abound on Lionna.
Shout for groups/raid boss participation when you get a bit over 20 in gludin--nice way to meet folks.
Be prepared for perpetual pk'ers around windmill hill near gludin--they're always there and always have been (lol).
Interaction and community gets a LOT better after 1st class change (lvl 20).
PM anyone on this forum and they can answer questions or give you a hand.
PrinceoftheNorth is my scavi around gludin/gludio right now--pm if you see me run past and I'll give you a hand too :)

Heh, don't you mean bots?
Welcome to lionna, feel free to message any legion members with questions!

Welcome, Niriad!

You're on the same track I am (future SR here, too! ^^).

Lionna is a very friendly server, overall. I've made a lot of friends here.

Since you're playing a LE female... when the time comes (if it does) when you're interested in a friendly clan, consider the Goddesses. It's a very friendly and helpful clan composed entirely of female characters. It's made my experience on Lionna even cooler having a nice clan to play and chat with. Anyway, enough of that, the most important thing for you right now is to have FUN and to get used to game's controls and stuff.

If you ever want to say hello or chat just pm Pixiduzt.

Alryn (who posts here as Obsidian) and I became in-game friends because of topics just like this!

HAVE FUN and WELCOME TO LIONNA and L2!! :)
Hey guys! Just a little update ^^

I am now 16 10% to 17 and I am kind of at a loss of where I should go to level... most things are either dark blue with a few scattered light blues in the Elven Forest. Where should I go from here? Also, should I worry about upgrading my gear yet? I'm wearing full wooden set with leather gloves and low boots (I think those are the boots) with a forest bow and long sword for dealing damage. Thanks for the help guys ^^
at lvl 17 ehad on over to ruins of despair and kill the skellies outside of it. Those should give you some good xp, but be careful, they do group.

If you find that to difficult, try outside gludio for some nice xp.

As for you gear, well atm, i would say try and save up fior D-grade, your ganna need all the adena you can get :).
Sounds like you're doing well! I am not too familiar with the LE areas so can't give you much help there. Right around the 20s though you may want to start branching out and go explore around Gludin/Gludio (I always get those confused).

Personally, if you're still able to fight well enough on green mobs I wouldn't worry about upgrading until you get to 20. No reason to spend money on equipment you'll outgrow in a few more levels.

And don't try to worry about getting the best D grade gear you can when you first hit 20. You'll be in D grade for 20 levels so there's no hurry and decent mid-level D grade stuff can be bought in Giran and Dion shops for decent prices.

Oh! I do remember doing a lot of hunting around the two Ruins areas near Gludio/n. When you're in those towns keep a look out for all the quests you can gather; they'll take you to those areas. Nothing is better than finding a good hunting place that also has a repeatable quest associated with it!
Hey I'm also new (probably seen my post) and around the same level. I'm over on talking island cut off from the world at the moment but should be heading to the main land soon. Gimme a whisper in game sometime :)
I've undergone some new thinking about d-gear since starting this game.
First, you'll need a d-weapon before armor. Coming up with THAT chunk of change will be your first hurdle. Save till you can get it.
Kill mobs green to you when possible--WHERE EVER you find them. Keep ranging further from town till you come across them--you will eventually no matter what town or what level through 2nd class change.
Stay in the NG armor for as long as you can. Most of those 20ish lvl mobs just don't hit that hard....grind em up without spending for low-grade d-armor.
Remember--weapon 1st. Then, if it was me, I'd wait till I got another 700k or so and buy brig from the shop in giran if possible--skipping all the low d-grade armor in between.
One other piece of advice for lower players pinched for adena..if you find the mobs that start dropping regular old animal bones--grind them till you're too tired to click the mouse!!!! AB's sell for 1,200-1,800 EACH on Lionna right now--from Dion to Giran at least. That's probably an average of 15k for 10 of the stupid things!!!!
Good luck.
2.2-2.5k in giran :)
Animal bones, eh? I'll keep a look out for em. I currently only have about 160k... not sure how much a good D-grade bow would run me. Any suggestions on which one I should look out for?

PS: Anyone know where I can find some Wererats?
Try find wererats around Gludio, at least I think I remember that... ^^

The top D bow (Light Crossbow) costs un enchanted around 3-3,5 million at Lionna for the moment. Over enchanted top D weapons costs an enormous amount of money atm, no idea why though...
Hit me up in game today on shadowlady, ill hook you up with some D grade stuff for free.. im always up for helping out new people

This is why you don't even think of getting a Top-D at level 20. But the price difference between a good D and a top-D is huge, so don't let the above price scare you :)
