Is there a point to leveling up Vicious Stance passed level 1? I havn't noticed a damage difference between the levels, but then again, I wasn't looking very hard for one. Does it help but not really noticeable?
Using a dagger yes, VS stacks with mortal blow types skills and with normal criticals. Since daggers hit fast and have a high critical rate VS is a great way to maximise damage output. With a slow attacking weapon like a bow its just a mana sink.
Thanks but, I wasn't asking if it was worth using =P. I was wondering if a higher level vicious stance added more damage then a lower level vicious stance. Because I havn't noticed a difference between level 1 and level 4 <.<
The difference between each level is magnified depending on the damage you do.
For example, if you're hitting a raid boss that VS lvl 5 will make you do 38 damage instead of 30 (VS lvl 1 32 dmg), on green mobs instead of 360 odd critical damage you might get something like 420+ (VS lvl 1 about 380). For mortal blow you will see the biggest difference going from 800 damage to 1200 using VS lvl 5 (VS lvl 1 about 900).
So to answer your question, yes levelling VS is worth it. As you level up, your damage will increase and so too will the difference VS makes.
Yes and going by your Signature your asking for your Plainswalker. Most daggers, at least PW/TH don't use stabs while leveling. When you get Critical Chance masteries it becomes more mana efficient to just use normal hits in PvE with VS toggled on while hunting.
Thanks for the info! And ya, I only use the stabs when I'm really really board and want to see the mob drop 3/4's of his hp. Otherwise I just attack normally :p
I had a glad before I rerolled WC long ago. Using duals and fully buffed, VS was far more effective then skill. Les mana cost and a lot more damage.
I know when buffed with WC buffs and having a BD in party I would out damage any nukers/archer or daggers. The only problm was, I all ways pulled the agro.
I love VS! But, use it in a macro. You must keep your eye open that it does not get stuck on as that sucks mana big time. I use it with each of my specials, and a ss.
Example of my macro set up.
/useshortcut 1 11 (this is where you load your ss if you want to conserve them. If you spam ss then leave out this command out not is does not matter.)
/useskill Vicious Stance (this command can be replaced with any special)
/useskill Mortal Blow
/attack
/useskill Vicious Stance
/attack

:D
I would of recommended this in C2, but in C4 it is really not that efficient to use a macro like this because macro's tend to be unreliable. They are slow to use and you can't do anything while it happens. Not to mention you stop attacking for a second when you run a macro like this, as well toggles have a "turn on" fee thats more than their over-time mp. I use F1 as my /attack or assist, but usually I am the tank so it's usually just /attack and my F2 is vicious stance and my F3 is Lure and my F4 is pickup. Pretty much the only things you need... and of course f5 is my emergency UE and F6-8 are my stabs for emergency. Thats mostly my PvE bar anyway.
