now im the first person to defend the low drop rates lineage has, if we didnt have such crappy full weapon and armor drops most dwarves would be outa a job
but anyone notice the adena drop rate being lowered each chronicle?
im not talking about the amount i mean the percentage
the prima guide states that adena drops at a 70% rate unless stated otherwise (not actually sure if anything drops at a different rate)
since C3 i can tell you that doesnt happen any more, in fact when i done a trial in C3 i came up with the figure of 53.7% adena drop rate
since C4 i can point you to mobs which drop at no more than a 40% rate i'd have to do another trial but i think i even know mobs which drop at 20-30% as well
While surfing I came accross a website sending a message to NCsoft saying :
"Too low droprates generate frustration which generate ebayers which generate farmers. ...
Message went on saying this lead to more and more bots, under NC's responsability, which I removed to make this flameless. It's not a bot thread.
(also dont hit the messenger ty)
It is a point of view, even if harshly stated.
Now If I don't endorse everything in the message I feel there may be some truth in the "too low" analysis.
Because the manor is unusable by normal players ...
It is unusable because about 2k crops buy back maximum per day is not a usable manor... One farmer can get that in half a day...
And automated tools prevent legit players to sell back their crops. They sell back faster.
So with the manor unusable by normal players, some mats' prices skyrocket and we simply cannot earn enough adena by ourselves to buy 10k animal bones at 1300adena a piece. So players who don't ebay (I am one) simply can't craft their majestic jewels or their heavy armor or anything requiring bones or varnish.
What I feel is that by adding high end content (read S grade), NCsoft is putting a stress on the demand chain which is not possibly met by an increase in the supply chain. And this time the effect is lasting.
It is excluding non ebayers and average players.
A good solution would be to fix the manor.
Mis, you totally missed nameless's point. He's not saying there should be more adena - just that it should come at the usual steady rate. Killing four groups of four without a single adena drop is a psychological, not a financial, difficulty.
PS: And I totally hate to correct myself after ranting so much about it - but the manor is still usable legitly. I'm just not going to make the mistake of telling people how this chronicle around.
For me and probably for many other people, saying the adena droprate is not consistant and complaining it is lower means complaining we're not getting enough money.
What do we need money for ? Getting gear. Surprise ? not really.
Far savvy ppl, getting cheap gear means crafting. Crafting means farming the manor or buying mats.
I am a heavy manor user. And I really don't see how you can use the manor when you come at seed reset time and you can't sell back your crops becaus it's already outbought.
You love saying I totally miss a point. I hope it's bothering you enough.
Also the sentence Killing four groups of four without a single adena drop is a psychological, not a financial, difficulty.
is probably a joke. Because you won't get enought o compensate on the next group.
How can it NOT be a financial difficulty if you get less money ? If you have enough for 2 majestic circlets by leveling just give us some.
i warned about that first days in c4, but the response was little to none, most of the players dont really care as long as they can insert their credit card numbers..
I have enough for all the gear I need -which, surprise surprise, consists of B Grade armour (I'd be fine in C, but Karmian is so wretchedly ugly) and a B Grade weapon.
And yes, four groups of four not dropping anything isn't a problem, because the next four groups might all drop three things.
Complaining about lack of frequency in many drops has nothing to do with total money earned, and everything with the frustration of "where are my drops?"
I break more than even on adena drops when levelling, without ever touching seeds. :p It still bothers me that money drops so rarely.
PS: Don't claim to manor as if it meant anything if you're not doing so successfully. Because just sitting on your seeds is rather... well, pointless.
