Do you have a favorite memory of Lineage II from the past two years?
When reds could roam in the starting areas, two of them tied up the SW bridge from the Elven Village, killing everyone who tried to get out. A crowd gathered, no one willing to step forward until.. at one magic moment, without any talking, we ALL just rushed their crimson rumps. They took off running and kept coming back on re-spawn, but we kept killing them until they dropped all their weapons. It was a thrill.
Happy birthday ^^

BTW Mystryl , may we expect some kind of event announcement in the coming hours/days for this anniversary?

The Gludio Sieges of c1 when I was wearing banana robes and being one shotted for over 10k damage by IC archers were awesome. So many people back then. Was a blast, and for the most part I still find the game to be a blast.
Oh no.... I wanted an uber NA only raid boss event like what I've heard from last year...... but I see no sign of it.

This topic made me cry.

As for my favorite memory... I'd say it was Chaos Week in the C4 PTS. The GMs sure are a fun bunch... it's a shame they don't host smaller/ random events on the regular servers.
Hmm, 2 stand out.

1. Getting PKed in less than an hour of playing (hadn't even made it to town on TI yet).

2. My first post here. Oh wait, that is memorable for everyone else.
It has been a year to the day when i left elmore to travel to the mainland, to complete my class change quest to become a Monk! :D
Happy Birthday Lineage 2. Is there going to be a worthwhile birthday event? *nudge nudge* ;)

Most memorable moment?...****, there are so many of them. I think the best one was sitting up on the lookout rock by Gludin harbor and watch the ship sail in while listening to the sound of the ocean and calm music...and then taking a plunge from up there and run to shore. :)

I was saddened to learn that for some reason the decided to ruin that spot by placing a tree lump right where you had to stand to jump and to enjoy the view properly.
Happy birthday Lineage II!!! :)
The most memorable thing I can think of is the siege on Aden on that faithful night when we were the first on Bartz to take it. Boy, lots of fun!
I can't remember anything...
first char i ever made, elf wanted_to_be_dagger_user. at lvl 4 i swam out across lake isis, just to see if i could make it all the way across. very nearly died, but as i got to the shore there was an announcement for the dawn/dusk festival and it said to seek out a preist to sign up. i got it in my head that i had triggered some worldwide chain-reaction-type cataclyzmic event, and went out to find a preist...on the way i was distracted :)
happy birthday ^^
Uhm so many memories... that one day we were going up ToI to do all the raidbosses for subclassing etc with several alliances, killed them all sucessfully but noticed an enemy alliance was coming up behind us to stop the raiding. We entrenched in an empty room on lvl (9 or 10 or so) and waited for their arrival. Well of course I died without taking anyone with me, but in the end we won and I danced on the corpse of a wyvern. ^^

My two first memories that still resound with me are:

first appearing in the temple in Dark Elf village and realized at that moment that this might be for me.

The first time I ever entered Dark Elf Village and amidst all the traffic of the players (the place was packed with players) that there was a giant hand, reaching toward some sort of twilight ceiling, "magical energies" connecting it to the beyond.

Then I saw that the rest of the statue was below it and thought "this is the coolest thing ever".
Greetings,

Yes, yes I do.

OH ! you wanted me to talk about them ?

Hmmmmm, well, there are many.

The old board, when the new board came, the gameguard episode, getting my first e-mail from God, Karashanna, Arigato, ShadowMaster, SirE's first post, Kiranya wolves, Jute's stories, Bertha's angry love and party head, the "Players of Lineage II" thread (and teasing Splatter).

****, so many more...

I have a few fave memories as I started in C1. But the FUNNIEST was just after C2 launched.

My best friend and I were going off to do a quest when we spotted a raid boss. These were new to us so after it conned "Dark Blue" to me, we thought we could kill it to see what it gave us.

I go over and use Drain Health (I was a BD), my most powerful skill! Nothing happened and the boss came over and began pounding me to pulp. I spammed health pots and used Sting, believing my DH simply failed. Nothing happened and his health wasn't even dinged.

My friend, a lvl 40 warsmith was trying every stun he owned and we quickly realized, as my heal pots ran out and this beast wasn't even scratched that we had made a horrible error!

I clearly remember typing "RUN!!! IT WON'T DIE!!!!!!" and "GET OUT!!!" My idea was to take the death for my friend, who had only just finished his WS quest. He took off running down the hill, his little head and body wobbling from side to side.

One more hit and I was laid flat. I looked and to our horror the Raid Boss was after my friend and caught him in an instant. All I could do was type encouragement:

"RUN FASTER!" <---doh, poor dwarf

Which was followed by a flurry of green ring bursts around my buddy (he was spamming Haste potions).

Of course, my buddy bit the dust very soon after I did. I think he got a whole 3 yards..maybe four. He dropped his brig helmet, so I had to release to town and run back to get it, which I did.

Moral of this story: NCSoft, on that day you taught us a very clear fact of L2 life -- "Death happens."

Bling, bling,
Happy Birthday my extended L2 family!
:D
This occurred in the middle of the firestorm on the old boards of people complaining about the complete lack of support, GMs not speaking English, all that other stuff.

GM Drifter (http://home.comcast.net/~delisim/Images/gm4tehwin.JPG)

Where have you gone Drifter?

In fact, I just looked and that SS was taken two years ago from this past Friday, April 28th 2004 :)
Happy anniversary Lineage II!

A good memory is the first trip I made off of Talking Island and a bunch of us, me and other players were talking about what to expect on the mainland. Wild, wild stuff...

Fun Times...
Greetings,

Ahhhhh, a world where people could read... A good utopia for a teacher...

If people could appreciate your beauty, perhaps you'd get much much more love, and not just from me...

You're just like Mistryl, why do you have to be such a prude ?

"Beverly hills, rolling like a celebrity, living in Beverly Hills..." (Weezer)

My most memorable memory in-game was meeting MiykaelQA. He was the FIRST NC official brave enough to approach me in-game...

He made me his slave... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/darkmotion/angel5woot.jpg)

How about a non-memory no anniverssary event? You ppl are worse than the cops in my home town.
For me today marks my 2 yrs anniversary in Aden and Lineage II. Would have been here sooner but I was away on business.

Lineage II was my first step into the MMORPG market. It has been at times a rough 2 yrs (but it finally looks like my DA is getting some love in C5)

My first thoughts was wonder and excitement. L2 was a nice break from Replaying Morrowind for the 16th time. Few games had so captivated me (visually) from the very start as L2 did.

Back in those days N00b town/ starter villages were as crowded as Giran and Aden are today.

I miss those days. When the whole world was new and unexplored at every turn.
