SH/Necro will be the fastest. I'd hold a finger on the SH for slightly faster XP, if you overhit and slightly more matk, but won't be a big difference. Best XP is using CDL and one-shotting mobs ^^ Fun and risky, prepare to die alot until you get it under control. Try CDL in a Catacomb on 4x mobs, FUN! OFC if you die alot, you won't level fast. Else you can use Death spike, which is the only other real option for a Necro, but is expensive.
Other fast classes are any major DD-class like dagger, archer, tyrant etc but require good buffs and preferably a BD, 2-3 ppl can easily clear a room in a Catacomb. "Solo" there is nothing that beats SH/Necro.
Everytime I've seen a Necro fight an SH I've always so far seen the SH win so thas kinda what gave me the idea to make an SH and I currently at level 30 and I love her she's amazing even thou she hasn't even hit the peak of her skills she's still so much fun to play :)
>>Everytime I've seen a Necro fight an SH I've always so far seen the SH win
Watch more, and dont watch 30lvl necros, unless SH sleeps necro (almost impossible w/ mental shld and it can be self buffed) or lands silence (also hard) no way SH can beat necro untill 77 when there is a good chance for wind vortex.
anytime but you are not on the same server:
necro has: over 2 times effective HP (over 2 times, repeat), faster casting speed, and better debuffs+summon.
Thats all good and nice that they have that stuff BUT depends a lot on the person if he person doesn't now how to pvp or use his necro the SH can take him out much quicker then expected! It goes the same way for the SH SO basically I'm just saying so far what I've seen I have not yet seen a Necro take out an SH but of course it is possible they are both great classes!
Sorry hun, but it's obvious that in any match if one player knows how to play and the other doesn't, most of the time the player who knows his stuff will win.
If both the necro and SH are buffed and the necro has a pet (not that difficult - in PvP areas make a summoner friend call their cheap-[censored] servitor, in PvE areas use a mob), it is highly unlikely that a similarly geared and skilled SH will beat the necro.
Thats what I said thou LOL I said that if the person knows how to play their character that they will have a better chance then the char who doesn't know how to play their character properly LOL
Well, sweetie... its sort of out of the point of your question to take in consideration the players skill. The question one wants answered in this case is wether a equally skilled SH or necro will win 1on1.
And as Maline said, the necro has by far the best chance to win.
Hereby not saying a SH cant beat a necro... it is just very unlikely.

just a note;
not only summoners; any wizzard (this includes necros) has 2 pre 40 summons (extremly cheap too), indeed long reuse time w/o being a true summoner. dwarf has summons, DA has summon.
so it's extremly easy to bring a pet for the necro.

I would wonder if, for the first two times, the necro could bring out his own cats and use them as corpses.

The servitor corpse disappears exactly as you lose control of the servitor - as such, you can not bring out your new servitor while the servitor corpse is out.
Summoners are strong at PvP - even with mages if played right and buffed (a summoner without mental aegis is default to dead meat), and stronger than most melees.
PS: Summoners are better because they can make new corpses at will and it only costs 1 crys D. :p
Sorry this might be a stupid but what do you mean by "mental agies"? and fully buffed you saying that a PS would really need full prophet buffs probably to be better at PVP? I'm just curiously b/c I'm wondering which is better PVP route to go SH OR PS? and those are my only two choices being a Dark Wizard so don't say Necro LOL
Mental Aegis is a buff which prevents root or sleep. A slept summoner in 1v1 is pretty much dead - on the other hand, if a nuker fails to sleep the summoner and they're on about equal level and gear and above level 58, it's very unlikely he will drop the summoner. =P
MalineII, fact is that anyone (52+) can buff mental shiled (renamed) now w/ spirits staff (costs less than 10m to make one).
---
as PS you will have mental shield for the summon but this is one of the semi-useless skills (unfortunately). Even if the summon is slept dmg through TP will wake it up (plus you can use waking scrolls if you are awake).
Thats what I thought as long as you put forth any damage well something is asleep it will wake it up and therefore attack you again? So even if a PS Summon servitor is put asleep once you hit it again it will wake up? and if a nuker sleeps it, that doesn't mean that a PS can't sleep the nuker they have the same skill! I don't get the problem here for a PS? sorry :( please someone explain thank you!

It needs to be a target buff afik. So any mage can cast it, but most melee don't have a target buff. Only self buffs and those don't work last time I checked.
The servitor gets waken up when the SUMMONER is hit.
However, if you succeed in first sleeping the summoner and then killing the servitor while the summoner isn't awake to heal it, you will very likely own the summoner also.

Last time was in c3, wasn't it?
Well, here is the trick that works since c4..
I am TH, I have ONLY 1 self buff (excluding dash and UE) it's rapid shot. However, I can actiave btb5,mental shld and focus if i have the proper staff for.
How, just target urself (click on ur name, same if you intend to heal) and *cast* it... enjoy

spun me out when my BH buddy gave me a SOES and told me to cure bleed
yes self buffs do trigger the SA
even cure bleed which isnt even a spell, its a skill ^^
