I just rerolled from Devianne. Making an HE on Sieghardt. Before I get too far I'm hoping they will have some news (official) on whether or not we are getting a new server.
If we are I'd hate to waste my time. I'll just keep playing on Dev with my Warcryer and help my alliance level. Then move to the new server.
NCsoft knows that a new server is over due. Many Euro players coming to the game. They have tried to mask it with patches to say the servers are normal. The load it self has not changed. Will they keep trying to not invest a little money to expand the western market? Or will they finally give in and give us a new server?
This statement seems somewhat strange to me. You want a new server, you moved to a new server (for you at least) and now you're complaining about there not being a new server?
I don't think it matters. You're time can't be "wasted". Whether it happens or not, you sound uninspired by Dev. You're on a new server--problem solved. However, siegehardt is pretty populated. If you're worried about congestion, you could have moved to a less full server like Erica. Not once in 2 years have I ever not been able to log in due to a full server.
Is it that you really want a new server so you can race to the top like everyone else and not be "left behind"?
I want to start over on a new server. Heavy load on the server justifies it. Yes Devianne has gotten very lame. Any one with the will to fight Covenant is gone. Only Crylon and AO1 is left. But they can't do it. With a Euro alliance there is no way to beat an NA alliance on an NA server.
I don't want to waste my time meaning, I hate 30-49. I hate class quests. I don't want to do them on Sieg and them do it again. Sieg seams very cool but I would definitely leave it for a brand new server. Even though the amount of mobs in lower level areas wont support a mass influx of new players.
I know there is barely hunting room for the trickle of people on Sieg. Teon is too full to join, so I'm hoping for a new Euro server.
Edit: What happened to this forum comunity? All dire Fanboys. You mention a need for change or a problem with the game and people can't rush fast enough to defend NCsoft. Do you people remember that they have neglected there western market for 2 years?
I hope you're not suggesting I'm supporting NCSoft on this. I'm just being pragmatic. Yes, the Euros deserve a new server, but yet another thread regarding that would be tired. NCNA knows what their Euro-base wants, and when it becomes economically beneficial, they'll add one. Money, after all is the loudest talker.
The servers (except Teon) are not crowded enough to merit a new server. There is tons of space on Devianne, Lionna, Gustin and Erica. *Maybe* the euro community needs another server, but the NA community doesn't.
And so, what's the point? You didn't achieve competitive status on Devianne: you rerolled how many times? You took how many breaks? What will be different for you on the new server? You're a casual player. Which is fine. But switching servers won't change your situation.

My assessment of Deviannes politics is wrong? Your clan which used to belong to Cov was one of the few that could fight against them. Instead you decided to break up your alliance and cause a chain reaction on the server.
Leaving AO1 alone to fight Cov. So who's fault is it that Devianne is a non-competitive server? You were the leader of Imperium right? How can you preach non-competitiveness?
I rerolled once out of necessity, my first character was a gladiator. I took one break because of RL and because of the non-competitive status of Devianne. It's true I didn't push very had to get Noblesse so I could fight Cov. But I couldn't fight them alone any way.
Devianne is not a great server because unless you join Cov, you probably wont get to experience what it's like to be in a castle owning clan. You'll never see Antheras in person. Or Valakas for that matter.
The ones who don't leave Devianne eventually join Cov. Cov, desperate to keep control of the server, applauds people with courage to fight them while recruiting there top players in secret.
I was never part of Covenant or Imperium. Ao1 isn't exactly leading the charge against covenant. If anything, they charge the opposite direction when they see Covenant!
You were "Forced" to reroll from glad? My clan members played Gladiator to max level successfully.
I'll never see Antharas? I've KILLED antharas.
Basically, you're full of mis-information and excuses. A new server won't change that. Suck it up, and realize you're a casual player and that that's "OK." You'll feel much better!
