I think I read something about if you deactivate one account on the same CC it deactivates all other accounts accross NCsoft games for that CC? I don't always like to two box, so was thinking of maybe running it for a month or two here or there.
Any advantage to using a CC or GTC for a second account?
The only other disadvantage (and it's not bad) that I've found is when they have special stuff they only send it to the main account. So when they were giving away trial keys last year I only got one for the account that has multiples on it.
I'm confused here. I have 2 accounts on same credit card and same address and same name. Only thing that's different is the username. When they ban an account they ban by username right? Not by address or credit card. I dont know. But to play it safe I divide my assets evenly among accounts, and also one that I got from a friend who quit playing, but that one is deactivated :D. But I am curious about the ban thing.
I honestly can say I've never worried about being banned since I don't do anything that would cause an issue. I've got multiple accounts on the same one because it's more convinient for me.

But seriously if you do something bad on an account, they can't ban both... At least I hope so. Sometimes I cuss people out, not saying where or when :p.
yeah I was wondering about that, if you have everything (have to put in a billing address even for GTC) written in the same, but the accounts differently billed/no located on the same main account...then why wouldn't they ban by Same Name/Address?
Of course, this is all really moot, I just dual box and nothing that would get me banned so for convenience I will probably just run them on the same CC.

Just start an entirely seperate account altogether, with it's own game key, etc. You can use the same CC for both accounts and even have the same info. Hopefully you're not doing anything to get banned either way... :eek:

Just start an entirely seperate account altogether, with it's own game key, etc. You can use the same CC for both accounts and even have the same info. Hopefully you're not doing anything to get banned either way... :eek:
whats the point, I enjoy leveling. Don't NEED the highest level now, and have a ton of fun meeting people along the way, I just suffer from a severe case of reroll/alt itis and a buffer account to help me solo those new toons up to friends is nice. That and money practically falls off trees if you know where to look ;)
I do have two different game keys. I didnt know you can have two accounts under the same key. If they ban both accounts even temporarly because I did something bad on one I would be very ******. Lets say you let your child/spouse/gf/bf/friend use your credit card to play. Most credit card companies dont approve charges if the billing name and address is not the same as the name on the account. Anyway, there is only one way to find out unless someone official says it, and that way is to get one account banned and see if the other gets banned too. Anyone care to try and take one for the team :p? Common :D.
As far as I know they ban everything that is connected to each other, ofcause depending on the degree of "reson to be banned".
When my friend without a cc asked if I could pay for him, by using my cc, I said no. The reason is that IF he did some bannable offense, then all accounts linked to the same cc could and proberly will be banned.
So my friend made an accout and paied by using timecards.
If there is any risk of beeing banned, then I suggest that you use eg. one account with cc, and an other compleatly new with seperate e-mail, login info, and time card.
That way the only way they could ban both, is by looking up IP and cross check these.
Not to offend you or anything, but you dont know this for sure right? Has it happened to anyone you know, or why is the reason you say they will ban everything related? It doesn't make much sense. I still say someone has to do it and find out. Maybe Ill make 2 more accounts for like a week on another name and credit card and get one banned :D. Hmmmmmmmm.....
You are compleatly right, I don't know for sure.... because I have never been banned.
But from time-to-time there are stories about "mass-ban" and they usually talk about linked accounts..... by using same cc and/or IP..... maybe even same clan (which I think really would suck :( )
So yes, it's just my two-cent, I know I'm not going to risk it, if ther is just a litte risk that they coul'd ban linked accounts.
