TH Or HE???

Hi, I am around level 31 as we speak and can't fully decide between either classes. TH seems fun, but appears weak and missing in some areas. Hawkeyes seem somewhat bland, but supposedly are amazing at pvp and sieges. I am looking for different opinions on both. If you can give me the ad. and disad. on both classes, it would be appreciated. I love to PVE, so that may make a big difference. I have had a DA and other classes, but wanted to try something new. Any help would be appreciated. :)
Well, imo the HE is the stronger char. But to my knowledge TH is quite good in PvE, gets some neat skills, AND can train.
I'm not the most knowledgable person on these two classes, but TH is high on my "interesting classes-list".
Played a TH and just rerolled HE on a new server. TH I only played on the PTS so not a lot of time spent on him. In fact I think I switched to SPS after the first week.

PVE, depends how you look at HE. They do more damage then a TH. They have only a few simple skills, the way I like it. You can't tank so you have to learn to kite when soloing. Or when pulling agro. Instead of the challenge being fitting all your skills on a 12 slot hot bar, the challenge is actually playing your charicter.

As with all human melee's mana and HP regen is a *****. No way around it. But in C5 HE's will get a body to mind type skill. TH's will still be skill dependant but won't have any skill to match it.

Honestly, a TH is an HE with out the range, even more group dependant. He needs a tank.

If you like PVP, especially large scale, HE owns TH. The real down side to archers is there cost to level. Easier soloing in harder areas means better drops. That can recoupe costs. But the manor system doesn't work well for archers. So you may want to make an or Shamen with heavy/blunt to do your manor farming to raise money.

Keep him in the 30's and you can do all the best seeds. There aren't any other good ones untill 60+. Don't use a Scav for manor farming. no MP and spoil will lose you money in terms of mats/hour. A shamen never rests in normal PVE if you use a melee set up. While sowing, you will use extra mp so you may need to rest just a little. Still much faster then using a scav and you can possibly make a few mil a day. Good way to pay for your arrows and shots.
Well as TH, I can say archers are boring. You use only your normal attack almost always, nothing else. Kiting is not real fun too.
It's not true TH needs tank, in many parties TH actually tanks (dont bring -9 con TH, please). I cant count how many time I have been tanking. All you need is VR/Focus/DW/Haste. {bear in mind TH has one of the absolutely, never failing crowd control skills, always costing 44mp - lure}
Yes, TH can't fit all needed skills in one bar, I use 2 or 3, depending on the case (not tanking in ToI/HotSpirngs/Tomb, etc is the easiest setup)
TH is somehow cheaper and even if you go HE use dagger till you get B grade bow.
W/ new imporovements in C5 TH might be better to solo (when i mean solo I mean buffed, unbuffed after mid 60s both chars cant solo, TH cant really solo in mid50 [focus from SoES does help, though])

About manor: use dark wizzard; it's uber and has b2m. need a bit practice how to do it, but honestly u will be able to 1-2shot mobs you need usually [hint you can use summons too].
I have a lvl38 Rogue going for HE and I used a bow since, well yeah forever really, I tried a human with a dagger: It's just not my style of playing.

I do like to kite and shoot with the bow. Greatest downside for me is the perma-lack of mana you will encounter. Partying with a recharger means more xp and fun for both.

HE's do very well in pvp too.
Awesome! Thx and keep them coming as I will be reading everyday to make sure I pick what is best. Also if someone could throw in some seige comments and what alliances think of the two.
Siege is no brainer as it stands now - HE. Range, Snipe, high CP...
HE's are awesome if you have a Prophet available to you.

TH is awesome if you have a Shillien Elder available to you.

Haste works well for archers, while VR makes dagger soloing doable.

Personally, I have always had a class crush on HE's. I still believe that they have the most potential out of all of the archer classes if you can get away from the Run-n-Gun philosophy of archers.
Go HE

Unless you like terrible pain ;)
Go TH for coolness factor.
Sorry got to say I don't think TH's are very cool. HE's on the othwer hand, I've all ways loved the animation of there specials.

When we get thwe skill to take from HP and give to MP you will be able to use skills. But you will have to spam pots. Adding more to expence. Archers are the most expencive classes.

Very important you lern to use the manor system. But it's hard (not impossable) to do on archers. I do suggest an alt. Archers level as fast as nukers. Faster at higher levels because they casn still solo. The first level 75 in NA was SR.

The down side is, if you use an alt to farm the manor. You lose leveling time to make money. You lose less leveling time then working the market though.

Working the market is pretty much full time.

C5 skills list (http://www.l2guru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29514)
th is better for xp (they are fast and they dont need rest for mp as he does) and they cost really cheap (just take a look at the prices: a grade daggers are the cheapest a weapons while bows are the most expensive) and finally i think that with 3rd occupation and c5 skills th will be better than he at pvps
I love My HE. I used to play a TH on a different server, got him to 52 and then got the Nerf Bat. HE can be boring/repetitious but so was the TH, so I guess I can't really complain.

I dont think so, because even though you are going to conserve MP (which i disagree with, since specials are expensive and essencial to leveling), TH's are not very good at evasion, and your in light armor...your going to get hit a lot and you dont have the HP of a warrior to compensate.

Therefore, if you dont have an SE with VR in tow....your going to sit on your bottom more then a HE.
