Getting a Homunculus to Have Conversion - Retail Forum Archives

I have seen plenty on homunculus' with acuman floating around, but never one with conversion which, as a healer, is what I really need. My friend told me that I have to merge a green level 7 crystal with a homunculus which will cause the conversion effect, but I have no idea how to get one.

Does anyone know where I could get a green level 7 crystal or possibly has another way to get a homunculus with conversion? ^^

You can either buy a levle green soul crystal from players or you could level one yourself, if you're high enough level.

You can activate the quest at magic guild in Aden, not sure if there are any other places to do this.

You'll need to be mid-50s to get a lvl 7 crystal by yourself. Otherwise, just buy one for about 700k.

Magic Guild Giran, DE Guild Oren. If you look on the left hand side under Special Ability Guide on stratics (http://lineage2.stratics.com), you'll find a more detailed guide.

Also, remember that conversion can be dangerous at lower levels, and depending on your class, not that important at higher ones. You might want to get a mana up weapon instead (such as the soulfire dirk, which is pretty much the best C Grade Mana Up healer weapon you can get).

Conversion is really only good for raids, where you need a lot of MP and chances are you'll never get hit by the mob. I bought one for antharas and never used it since. (tho I really should carry it for raids)

Actually, that is the main way I level up is rbgs, so having conversion would be a big help. I haven't seen anyone at all in town selling a level 7 green crystal yet, and as I am only level 39, I cannot do the quest.

Oh well, I guess I'll just search around for the dagger mentioned earlier ^^

Dark Screamer = Homu Sword. It can be purchased at lux shop for ~7 million adena worth of crystals.

It isn't terribly hard to level a crystal to 7. Just takes a bit of patience and, if you're lower levels, a small team.

The soulfire dirk can be created using the blacksmith of mammon. It is one upgrade from the lower luxury store items, thus equivalent to katana/raid sword/etc.

I got Mace of the underworld, it's at the same level as Homunkulus with same stats, it's just blunt. Homunculi are everywhere, but with this "can opener" I am unique :D

Just beware the 40% HP loss. I got it at 60 or so, now am 63 and my HP without any buffs is 1580 ... it was even lower, I have +4con tat now. I got also staff with Bless The Body which compensates HP loss a bit. But then I loose mana switching weapons ... I would not recommend use it until high 50ies, unless in really goot group or raidboss group where you will die in one hit anyway.

Upside is I have 3550 MP unbuffed, 4450 with BtS6. (BW set, I gues Majestic would give more MP even, cannot afford it).

Downside is: try to regen it ... :eek:

in all fairness the first part was right.

but SFD has crystal count of 1148 which does NOT make it equal to c weapon of raid sword. you can buy a raid sword form the lux shop (1720 crystal count).

and i prefer my +5 SFD w/ Mana Up to any conversion Homu anyday. for a couple reasons: hgher Matk. higher resale value (i could swing selling as top C hehehe), and much nicer to look at than a fugly homu.
