Scout (going PW) using Duals till level 40?

I figured this might actually be better then going daggers (until level 40 anyways) because of vicious stance and critical chance. To me it sounds like I'd be dishing out some pretty nice damage, but I don't have the money to try it yet <.<

What do you all think?

Stick with your Dagger

Could you tell me what the downside to the duals would be? All I can think of is I won't beable to use mortal blow or bleed, which are practically usless in PvE anyways.

Might work ok, assuming you use heavy armor(solo) or light armor(group). But why?

Downside? Boredom. Really, no other way of saying that. More expences due to SS/pot consumption. You have no skills except for Dagger/Bow weapons. All you do is target mob and whack away till it's dead over and over.

At least with dagger + VS you'll be killing a hell of a lot quicker.

By the way, just curious, Why did you leave erica?

Vicious stance alone makes it silly to choose a low-crit weapon like a sword. ^_^;

Isn't the only melee weapon that has a higher crit then a sword a dagger?

Anywho, I'm only asking this because when I was grouping with my Palus Knight friend on Erica with my PW, he totally out damaged me with his duals >.> . They were +6 though and my mith dagger was +0... But, could those 6 enchants really make him do almost double my damage? o.O

Guess I should add that I was below level 40 in that last paragraph. I guess the fact that I said I had a mith dagger made that obvious though :o

if your sure you want 2 handed weapon then get a claymore instead, same atk speed but higher patk.

Not the duals - but maybe the fact that he has ten points more strength than you, which is after all an almost 30% boost in PAtk?

And you are right, there are only three tiers of critical damage - fists/blunts, swords/books, daggers/bows. But seriously, if you have vicious stance, it'll work best with daggers.
