Shillien Saint quest - Bumbalump?

I'm doing the Shillien Saint quest, and I've been winging it untill now. I'm at a point, where I sorta would prefer to get some advice before jumping in head first..

Icicle Emperor/Prince Bumbalump?
I'm told to put the food out to him, that I have recieved, and wait - but it's a quest item, so I don't think I can do anything with it?
Second, I'm told to kill him. Will I be able to kill him with a BotMT and soulshots? How tough is he? Do I need to get last hit, or do I need to kill him by myself?

Anything else I need to know? Tips for the rest of the quest?

(Btw I'm aware of the walkthrough posted here with a link to blah, but the images are broken).

Oh, I have an AOBA+5 /health - would it be a good idea to bring that to slay him? Or is the branch enough?

lol nevermind.. I know what I did wrong now. No Bumbalump killing for me, because I *do not* need to do finest ingredients part 2. Only part 1.

so no a +5 aoba prolly wouldnt kill him ^^
