Am I the ONLY person that finds it impossible to keep my sell store up over night? It seems that I get a critical error that shuts down the game every night which makes it a little hard for me to sell stuff :\ As far as I can see, most of the time it gives some Critical Error messages saying something about my Virtual Memory. I was wondering if there was a fix for what is causing it? I know NOTHING about computers, so I am at a loss. Hopefully somebody can guide me through this problem. Thanks.
An AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.21GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM. That is directly off my System specs section of the control panel. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX. Hopefully this helps....
Hmmm, well I don't know if last night was dumb luck or not, but I did do what you said and turn the graphics all the way down and I stayed connected. That is the first time in a long time I haven't woken up to see I have been dropped from the game. Hopefully it continues to work. Thanks so much....
I think the important thing is to go into a night time mode for selling with a fresh pc. And what i mean by that is a reboot and placing yourself into limited mode.
hey man virtual memory is due to your paging file not your memory.right click My Computer, properties, advanced tab, settings under performance, advanced, change, then set it to system managed size. Your PC will give L2 more virtual mem if needed instead of crashing hope this helps.
L2 has always been a resource hog but i have 512meg ddr ram and after doing the change i suggested to beastly it has never crashed so id assume with his PC hed have no prob either.
I keep the client on from maintenance to maintenance, increasing virtual memory helps in that more than RAM. Also, running the client with lower details is smart and helps minimize the stress the client is putting on your computer.
Also, keep a web browser open, auto refreshing so that your connection stays open all the time(some ISPs cut the connection when the activity is low).
