Adena without shops ?

Player Questions Started Last reply 25 posts
I browse through these forums and read about Adena amounts that i cannot even dream of having one day (60 million, ...)
The thing is, i cannot set up a private shop cos i cannot let my PC on all the time, its in the living room and my girlfriend would go crazy :p , so is there a way to make Adena without a private shop ?
This Manor System maybe, i'll look through it but i'm not sure i can make millions with it right ?
Any advice ?
You can't sell without a private shop, which is no doubt a big part in many people's money making schemes. If you have someone you trust 100%, you can maybe ask them to sell for you? We do this once in a while, for people in the same situation as you. (It's good when both people in a couple play - no one gets mad about having a game running 24/7 :p)
set up the computer in another room or just run it all day while you are at work.

Well... thanx (i guess), but that's not really what i was asking for :p
So, is there really no way to make Adena except for private shops ?

ok, sorry.

yes.

You have to hunt for adena. Meaning, no shots, hunt mobs that don't damage you significantly and don't pay attention to xp.

I can make 1 million using a good part of a saturday (though I do use shots - the adena drops are high enough so I can warrant doing this - greens, 2 shots per mob. But this is easier for mages - also this is at higher lvl hunting grounds so the adena drops can accomplish this).

That is the only way I can think of unless there are quests where you can also turn in the quest items for adena.
Building a base stock without sell stores is very difficult - run quests (at level 40+), and more importantly, manor manor manor.

Keep your money tightly together, and then start using the trade sections of forums to arrange deals - and shouting your sales every time you are in town. Same for buys.

However, inability to leave an overnight store does, indeed, mean a serious market handicap.

PS: That which applies to the manor applies to the market, too. "If you have friends you can trust, let them do it for you."

But make sure you can really trust them - you don't want someone taking off with your collected investment.
Ok, two more questions then :
Is there a better way to sell stem, animal bones, etc..., than to sell them to NPC ? Sometimes i see private shops buying them, but is there maybe a Dwarf guild or something that buy mats at a higher price than the NPC shops ?
And, about the manor system, i dont think i'm dumb or anything but i couldnt understand a single thing about this :p I went through the Library but i still have no clue how this thing works, is this only for castle-owning Clans or what ?
NEVVVVEEEERRRRRR sell mats to a npc.

omg NEVER xD

use the forum search option and type in "manor system" and you should get some good hits.

GL
What Veansa said. There's always people buying mats. You should go to Giran for the best prices.
if you were on hindemith id buy ur mats :p
the manor system
u need to buy seeds in the lvl range of the creatures ur are farming. u hit the seed before u strike the monster then when it is doe u use ur harvester to harves "seeds"(i cant remember the exact name) then you go from city to city and see which manor manager is buying the kind of seeds that you have.
this is how it was explained to me, though i cant find any one to buy the stuff i gained grinding in Enchanted Valley

then you go from city to city and see which manor manager is buying the kind of seeds that you have.

This isn't necessary anymore since C4. You can now sell your crops in Giran for Oren prices. (If Oren buys that crop, ofourse).
Sadly, the manor on Teon isn't all that great.
If you have a lot to sell then make a deal with your gf. Tell her you won't play mon-thu if you can have a shop up for 1 day. Then pick a day and have your shop up. Maybe a weekend when there are more people playing. Oh and on that day, drag her out of the house for some fun stuff. Your luck, the game will crash 30 minutes after you leave the house. But maybe you're luckier than me.

Ok, so the best deal is to sell them to player's private shops then ?
I'm glad to know that, i've been selling to NPC shops for about 5 months now ! :p
Also a word of caution when manoring: If you have a bad seed, you will make losses, not a profit. Check Giran to see which materials sell way over their NPC value and then try to manor those. Of course, if you go for the very best deals, there will be a lot of competition.
All this talk about manoring is fine but he is saying he can't keep the computer running while running a store. Unless he just sits in town shouting to sell his mats.

In that case, manor is the way to go.
Your profits are more slim, but you can always use player buy stores - it's faster but not quite as profitable, as per usual.

Never ever sell ur mats [censored].
1. uve never enough mats
2. craft craft craft - then sell

This is what I do when I get things like blue wolf mats or doom mats etc.

I just don't have the inclination to set up a buy shop for a few days so that people can buy a few of these things. So I go to the player shops and let them buy them for whatever they are offering. Let's them get a good deal on their equipment and puts some extra adena in my pocket for porting.
Crafting for profit is long and strenous. Especially when you don't have the adena to invest, selling a couple thousand bones or varnish uncrafted is no problem.
Then find other ways to make money or do lowcrafts. Gather brigparts with a lvl40, good for the beginning. My tip: Buy Goldcoins and grab Demongloves for example (coins on sieg 400k, gloves 1.2+m, 300% profit ^_^). From what i learned its ever wrong to sell mats, do it maybe once or twice if u really r in trouble and need a few mill. Dont forget: Before u can run u need to learn how to walk. Every Business starts low.
Unfortunatley if you cant play the market or belong to one of the top clans on the server. There is no way in hell to make enough adena to upgrade. Just so you know I consider manor system playing the marke too since 99% people do it to sell the mats and not collect items to craft thier gear.

Does she want you to turn the computer all the way off every time you leave the game? If not set up AFK shop go to window mode and minimise. Then just forget about it tell you get up in the morning or get off work at night.

If you can't do that then you will be dependant on other people in the game to make adena for you, and that can be very very frustrating.

If you sell mats to the NPC, you get maybe a tenth of the money you could get from other players, in some cases even far less than that. E.g. animal bones sell in player stores for about 800a, while if you sell them to the NPC, you will get what? 50? 75?

never never never sell base materials like bones, thread and so on to the NPC. The only things you can safely sell is key materials for NG and low D items, like bow shafts and so on - nobody wants those.
>>while if you sell them to the NPC, you will get what? 50? 75?
75.
But what's worse you help the global inflation.
Ok, thanx for all the good advices here guys, i'll try the Manor system then, and maybe try to leave my PC on while we're both at work during the day to set up a private shop from time to time :p
(and from now on i'll never sell mats to NPC again, it's good to know that after about 5 months of playing ;))
Aye, dont sell to NPCs, and if you cant keep a private shop up you can do the following: Gather basic materials for some time(manor, hunt, spoil - whatever) and when you have a nice bunch of them, go to Giran and check all private buy stores. Then sell your mats to the shops offering the best price for your materials. This way you wont need to sit AFK in a shop and you will always find a buyer. You will also make more money than if you sold to the NPC.

An alternative way is to befriend a warmisth/player who crafts alot and make a deal with him/her. You collect materials and sell them once a week to him/her for example. Easy way of making money and also a good way of making friends with a warsmith :)

PM Shangri on Teon if you wanna sell basic materials without too much hassle, she crafts all the time and basic mats are always needed. And you will never have enough mats to satisfy her. (She should be online alot, if not, pm Rados and ask if she's on another toon or mail her.)
