New Player...Need help picking class

I just made a new account and I havent played since beta. With all the new chronicles and class changes i have no idea what is a good class to play.

Generally, I prefer to play melee/archer type classes. I will be interested in PvP when the time comes. I like soloing sometimes,but i realize grouping is pretty much the way to go at higher levels. I do not want to play a support class.

What do you all think are good pvp/pve classes (i want to be good in both if possible) ? When i played before i like the HE and Gladiator, but i have no idea if these classes are still good.

I think this is correct on what is best for you i think. :)

People said glads were going to be good in the next chronicle before. There still very unpopular. Necro's are the FoTm but they won't last long.

As for the classes you would like. I went HawkEye when I rerolled. You can solo or group and do well in large scale PVP. Leveling is expencive but fast. Also so far I've had the best drops of my 3 charicters. 2 arm or and 1 EW and 1 EA. Of coase I'm still low level. I'm sure the best drops are yet to come.

I suggest if you want to be good at PVP and PVE the best to go is either an nuker (SH or Necro) or an archer (HE or SR) they are among the best in both those target area's! and have fun :)

Really? What makes them so great next chronicle? All I saw was War Frenzy and that's not too impressive.

PR are best for both choices go PR you will not be disapointed

If you like archers, HE isn't a bad choice. They still do fairly well in PvP. If you want the FotM, go for a nuker. But HE still do fine, PvE and PvP.
