Im sorry to say that, but you guys are really prejudiced and narrow minded. How can you judge a nation just because you cant understand their languadge?
Ive been abused a few times ingame because of my nationality.
Doesnt this sound more like a curse?
People aren't prejudiced against Swedes, Germans etc. on Dev either, and they can't understand their language.
People are prejudiced because of the way many of your landsmen behaved and still behave - I personally try not to be, but sometimes it's very hard not to.
tex, when you see a group of players speaking a language you dont understand is not your first reaction "do you speak [my language]?"
weve seen so many chinese or asian players that we immediately called them farmers.
it APPEARS that the greeks are doing the same. greek players have the early morning opportunity to raid, and grind when we NA players arent around. hence no raids occur really before noon eastern NA time.
I think Devianne has become the unofficial second EURO server. I played on Teon for 7 months and hardley understood the game, the people and most chat was different languages except english. It got so frustrating I quite.
Came to Devianne to join some RL friends was great for a while but now Devianne is getting almost as bad. Most all chat I cant understand anymore. Thank god for being in a Clan so I can chat with someone who understands what im saying.
Now this isn't meant to degrade or put down anyone. It's just my observation of who is playing on this server now.
well honestly, the problem is not to be greek, austrian, mexican or any other random nationality...(i'm eu, and in devianne since prelude -this means no eu server that time-)
it's just up to the people to show a bit of education and allow others to comprehend what you're saying, especially in public channels. in partys or pm or whatever, do as you like...
Devianne has the lowest ping for Euro players ,almost same as Teon.
But Teon is overloaded all the time wich is a bad thing for it's ping, and since it is the only Euro server ,it must attract a bunch of Ebayers making it worse.
Best choice for Euro player is Devianne,it's a quite young server and since we log in at GMT time ,US players are mostly off at this time ,or asleep,making room for others.
These reasons make this server the best to play on.Rarely overloaded and though heavily populated ,wich is a good thing for everyone.

BUT you cannot blame a whole nation just because you don't understand their language.
On the other hand in the 2 years I've been playing L2 I've come across ppl acting like that from every place of the world...Noobs don't have nationality :eek:

on Hindemith we kind of have the same thing happening, but with Russians. The amount of Russians have exploded over the past few months and they all speak Russian in shout/parties and whatso-ever. You can hardly party with them because of the language barrier. A pitty because I bet most are very nice.

probably she meant "auto-players". since the server started later, the market was virgin and probably the sell price higher... so it attracted more many "adenas I.N.C." as on any other server...

Look at servers status on login screen :
All servers switch between " Light ", " Normal " and " Heavy " status,
All, except Bartz & Teon wich is always locked on "Heavy".

Come on...this is "923'ing" me.
And it has been explained to you why Teon is in such a state just now: The market launched later. You notice how ebaying on Devianne went through the roof with the arrival of all those greek players? That's not necessarily because Greeks ebay more but because there were suddenly many players who needed in game currency.
When Teon opened, the majority of people who went there already levelled up high somewhere else and didn't feel they should have to put forth the same effort again. There are plenty of Americans who took to this "fresh" server to get a new start.
it took me 2 months to come to an enlightened understanding of xaxaxa. when someone first used xa0xa0, i was like "thats it, i give up." looks like HEX to me.
We have way less than others. It just seems a lot to you because you've not been around. :p But - pt - people are still busy helping Devianne give the other servers a run for their manor.

i am on dev server b/c durin beta, gustin went down and i came here. AFter playing my orc for a couple hours and getting those fox claws drop i stayed.
And about the greeks. Its not the language barrier, i just dont like p00t or Mirmidones. There a few greeks i like though :)
